OK, so I know you all want to know......

The bean soup was a mistake ~ a HUGE MISTAKE ~ and he's sorry he asked for it. But it was a learning experience. He was in misery from 2 a.m. through most of the morning.....and even had to go to work with an upset stomach and being exhausted from very little sleep.

So, live & learn. I sure wish his gut would heal up some and heal rather quickly ~ but I guess we need to take more care planning things he can digest with ease.

And that brings us to tonight's meal ~ one that should not bother him at all!

Grilled salmon (for HIM) and grilled grouper (for me) ~ along with grilled zucchini planks and steamed asparagus.

OH NO! so sorry to read that. I am so lucky, (so far) no allergies etc.

No cooking today. We're organizing a Cinco de Mayo party for our building, and I was out testing! Had a great Mexican "Bowl" at a local place.

Beth, I know the pain poor Dane went through. When I get that pain, I
go right to two tabs of GAS-X and it stops the pain in 15 minutes.
Another thing is to take enzymes with meals. The Dr. said, after 40 y/o
we need supplemental enzymes to help with digestion.
We get them from puritan pride ..... We get the chewable ones with the
pineapple taste.

Tonight will be elbow macaroni with fried cabbage. And I will have
my gas-x tabs with my plate of food.

Dane had been doing really well on watching the combinations of foods he was eating ~ the main thing for him was to not combine carbs with protein.

He had absolutely no problem with the Mediterranean Salad & Chicken.....raw cucumber, ONION, Kalamata Olives, sweet red bell peppers & parsley with a lemon/olive oil dressing.  Go figure.

But the bean soup almost killed him.......

And don't even think about Grandma's Cure All ~ ~  Homemade Chicken Soup.

So, he's back on soft cooked eggs & bacon.  For lunch and supper.  For the next couple days......

He also feels a lot better when he drinks the Rachel's Digestive Tea ~ he says it soothes and relaxes his gut so things can 'happen' as they need to instead of causing a lot of pain and discomfort. If you go to rachelstea.com you can see the varieties they offer.

Me?  I'm going out to eat.

From Lore:

"Dinner Tonight. Stir fry f onions, lots of mushrooms, red pepper , a couple of cloves of garlic, and a mix of frozen seafood, then finished with a bit of cream. Served on an egg noodle “ I love wich I love)

Easy dinner after a shift at thrift, as they say!"

Maybe a couple of slider burgers. Tina made her meat sauce for her lasagna
for tomorrows dinner. Palm Sunday with the kids and the wee ones.
