What's Cooking AUGUST 2022

We are supposed to have stuffed giant portabella mushrooms.
It depends on how we feel.

We had ham and bean soup that Tina made. It was good. Then we nibbled on boneless
pork ribs that were leftover from a previous meal.
Today, was a day of insanity. We switched cell phones from Verizon, to comcast xfinity.
$80,00 savings. Then we switched the gateway modem and wifi modem, and that;s when all hell broke loose. The phones lines don't work. The MAN is coming tomorrow afternoon. Gerrrrr

I forgot to take a picture but I made panko crusted chicken tenders and a side of orzo zucchini salad that he goes nutso over. It was such a simple dinner but you would have thought I made pheasant under glass lol.

"Dinner Tonight. I had a very large, bone in chicken breast in the freezer. So, put that in the oven as well as a sweet potato, and cooked some very plain, frozen peas. I can’t remember the last time I had plain peas. They were delicious!"

I would have loved to see you add some of your pea shoots (that you put on your salads) to the peas ~ just warmed a tiny bit ~ and that would make me very jealous because I can't find pea shoots here!

I use to go to a fish restaurant in Ohio that had a side of steamed pea shoots in the spring. They were DELICIOUS!

Chicken Chunks in Korean BBQ Sauce & Vegetable Spaghetti (zucchini, carrots & onion).

I sure wish the tomatoes on my plate tasted as good as they look......

I miss the taste of the tomatoes I grew in the little flowerbed outside my Ohio kitchen.

(I don't, however, miss my Ohio kitchen or yard that had to be mowed or circular driveway that had to be shoveled/snow blown or the mosquitos the size of bats that somehow learned how to open the screen door and get inside.......

But I DO miss the tomatoes........

I have a suggestion!... Rent a big truck, and drive up to OHIO and fill it with dirt, and bring it back to FL. Then you can plant your own tomatoes in great growing Ohio Dirt!

I didn’t feel like cooking today mi recently made some crepes and froze them so I decided to fill them with Swiss, ham, mushrooms, spinach etc and they came out pretty good. Different. I didn’t even make a sauce for them but actually they didn’t need a sauce

We had gnocchi with fried cabbage and onions. Tina was at her uncles, so, on the way home, she stopped and bought cannoli from Giancarlo's bakery.
One finger size Minnie size was 3 dollars EACH! EACH!

Spaghetti with tuna ( Canned ), and toasted bread crumbs. Doughnut for dessert.

Easy BLT's for supper. I have a Boston Cream filled doughnut coming up to room temperature for my snack.
