Tina had mashed potatoes and gravy, and I had broccoli.
Tina is broken out with hives on her back and neck, and face. We called the DR. and said to give her benadryl (sp?) ..... It is working a little, but she is sleepy from it.
Always something with that poor girl!

I suspect she is allergic to one of her antibiotics or other meds that she is taking for her surgery. Make sure she doesn't have any trouble breathing or that her throat doesn't feel like it is closing up. If it happens, it is a medical emergency and you have to call 911. I have an allergy to Amoxicillin. I got an itchy rash on various parts of my body. I can't take Benadryl so my rash took 8 months to go away.
Bugster2 wrote:I am so glad she is feeling better. That Benedryl really works. For some reason I can't take the stuff. It gives me a 24 hour gut ache. I remember getting a complete body rash in high school. I looked awful. It was all over everything including my face and the palms of my hands. It itched like hell. I had it for two weeks and finally I went to the doctor. He gave me Benedryl and the rash was gone in 4 hours. I never did find out what caused it. What I suspect is something on some grass I was sitting on at the park.
One time my DH got a bad case of hives from some tropical plant at his employer's home. He took Benedryl and it went away but kept coming back. Even though we had washed his clothes, there must have been some residue left on them. When he put them on the hives came back. We had to toss his pants, shirt, underwear and socks.
