We had Honey Garlic Chicken with stir fried broccoli slaw tossed with soy and brown sugar and I made a
Tzatziki sauce to go with some mini pita rounds Cassie brought home from the store yesterday. We also has some rice which isn't pictured.

Love those little pita rolls Cassie brought!.....Great to fill with egg salad or tuna salad.

Good to know about wm.A friend of mine just retired & said now she has to watch her money for food.Said she bought steaks & they where really good.IDK lol.

We watch the food prices, and like the last week...Tina picked up Cabot Butter for $2.99 a pound. Land O Lakes which we use, was 4.29 a lb.
The only thing, is the Cabot Butter is a whole pound block; No individual sticks.
Who Cares?? I can use a knife.

The Walmart chopped beef is OK because it is consistent. It is pre packaged.
A little course ground, but we run it though the meat grinder to get it finer.
Tina won't buy the other steak cuts or roasts there, but we've heard people say they are not bad. ? ? ?

The meat looks odd to me.Like it was thrown in some machine.To make it tender.

I buy my ground chuck there and it is the best tasting around. I haven't tried anything else yet except for pork ribs and I think those were Farmer John's. They were very good too. What I refuse to buy anywhere is ground beef packaged in those chubs where you can't see inside the package. I think it is full of pink slime. Mystery meat. Never buy anything that says it is mechanically processed, like chicken nuggets, hot dogs etc. I watched a video and they throw the whole chicken in the grinder, feet, bones and some feathers. Seeing that would turn you into a vegetarian. I read where Smithfield hams and such (the biggest producer of pork in the country) has been bought by a Chinese company. They are going to ship US pork over to China, have it processed there and then ship it back to the US. They can say that it came from the USA on the label. Maybe so but not in my book. Anything that comes from China is suspect. They don't have the same quality control standards as the US.

I got some beef at Walmart a couple months ago. It was tough and chewy. I noticed some steaks at the Walmart in JC where I used to live that were labeled wrong (and priced wrong too.. Labeled at as a more expensive steak and more expensive price for a cheaper steak)

I have to make an Italian Calabrese style meat loaf!

Flattened / rolled out ground beef about 1/4 to 3/8 inch....slices of HB eggs / sausage fried and diced / mozzarella diced / provolone diced / spiced with oregano basil and lightly dusted with garlic powder and salt, and then rolled into a log. In a long pan / oiled liberally...then baked in the oven 350 till browned and the cheese starts oozing out. Around 60 to 90 minutes and watching closely after 60 minutes. Cooled to room temp, and then sliced and served on the side with spaghetti or macaroni's in tomato sauce.
