I guess today will be Susan's Meatballs. huh!

No excuse for a hot kitchen... I installed a separate A/C in the kitchen. Nice huh!
Tina made a Old world raspberry bars last night, and I had the cooling set to 68º, and we were actually shivering. Yay! No heat in the kitchen anymore, so no excuse to Not Cook! hahahahaha

The kitchen was Nice and Cool making the meatballs and the oven was on.
What a weird situation. The Heat is on in the Living Room at 78º so "Chilly Willy" is not complaining. ( Tina's Uncle Gabe )

I found a recipe that uses a clay cooker to make a whole chicken and makes a sauce with sherry. I do whole chickens in the clay cooker all the time, but not with a sherry sauce. That's what's for dinner tonight.

Looks Great Norm. You must have read my mind. We were talking about beans tonight, and I for the life of me, could not think of those Snap peas you made for supper tonight.

Of course my wife diddled out of helping me think because she is NOT a vegetable fan.

The bean inside is like gray color, right? I had them once, a long time ago, when we ordered Chinese.

So true Barb.... The Bun can ruin a sandwich and even a hot dog bun can.
Tina bought nice New England Style split top Hot Dog buns (Pepperidge Farms ), and even they had flaky side crust. They were probably overbaked at the bakery.
There I was trying to enjoy my favorite Sabrett hot dogs, and the bun disintegrated in my hands. Grrrrrrr!!

Did you post that picture at another time? If you did, it simply did not register in my feeble brain. It looks like you are on the ball. So, how did it turn out? Looks like it would keep the grease from splattering in the oven.

Yes I saw this on a blog I like. I thought oh no that will get fat in my oven. It did not.This was some time ago. I know I posted it before.

It is just the cake pan I use all the time.BTW it holds a pretty good size chx too.Works great.

I have a bundt pan but I think it may be too light-weight to hold a chicken. Is your pan heavy?

I've done that with my bundt pan (before I got my vertical roaster pan) - First time I had grease drip from the hole in my bundt pan so second time I covered it with a bit of foil.

Works great. I bake mine at 450° for close to an hour because I like really crispy skin with the fat all dripped away. I wrap loosely in a strip of foil to let it rest when done baking.

I was putzing around most of the day and ended up having an apple w/peanutbutter for lunch. So, I was ready for supper. Chicken cutlet (pounded & breaded w/panko), beet greens, parsley/chive noodles & steamed asparagus.

Phew! We're stuffed!
