Happy belated birthday Jimmy. I hope it was nice.

Today will be a Cobb salad for dinner.
I also stopped by Williams Sonoma today while in the mall. They were giving out samples of a Pecan Pumpkin Butter Trifle. It was very good. It would also cost a fortune. This is what it had in it.

WS spiced pecan pumpkin mix $11.95
WS pecan pumpkin butter $11.95
WS spiced pumpkin seed brittle $29.95

This doesn't even include the cream, maple syrup, brandy, and whatever else it takes. Totally out of my budget. I might be able to make my own bread and pumpkin butter but after tasting the pumpkin seed brittle (which was yummy) I knew that would have to be purchased. There is no way I could duplicate that candy. I will wait and see if it goes on sale and then grab a tin of it. It will have to be 50% off before I would consider it.

They had a dinner and a party for me today. I was surprised that not just the kids came and their friends, but family from Maryland and the neighbors also.
I got suspicious when son JImmy, brought more chairs. Then friends started pouring in!

Happy almost birthday Jimmy! Yesterday was my sister's birthday............... Oct. 19, it's just past midnight here, and I can't sleep./ We went out to a nice Italian restaurant for her b-day brunch. Yummy!

I can't sleep, too many things on my mind. Closing date for my farm is coming up Friday, I still have some things in the house, son is coming tomorrow to help me clean up workshop and garage etc., Also plumber has to come, cause darn it all, my water pressure tank sprung a leak last week, so I have to put in a new one./ $469. plus taxes and installation. Why couldn't that wait until the new owners took over, right?

I want a nice chopped ham sandwich, with lettuce and tomato, and loads of mayo and thin sliced onion rings just enough to taste!

I had my stresss test today at the cardiologists, and the heart is good, but the circulation may be bad in the legs. ? ? .... He took me off the drug Livalo ( cholesterol ) meds and he said that drug can cause leg tightness and sore muscles. The nurse asked me if I do any excersize..and I said,"Yes,as much as a turtle gets crossing the street!!! lol lol lol!!!/font]

Usually Tina or I make one, and it will be gone during that day. Great cold as a snack!

My grandmother made them on a Friday and stuffed them with smelts that she fried after dusting in flour and salt...then some anchovie's and sometimes shrimp.

The Birthday party the Girls had for me on Sunday.

The food was plentiful.... Tina made sausage and peppers, and we had a catering company furnish 6 trays of different foods. Cheese and cold cuts and hot and cold dips. It was A Great Time, and I was very happy.
