It looks delicious. Almost like those Boboli! Remember those? When they first came out, My Brother lived in Baltimore County MD in Catonsville ( exit 16 off the 695 beltway ) .... and he knew the guy that made them and was trying to make them popular. My brother worked for Fair Lanes Bowling Centers in marketing, and he met various people trying to push their products. He would visit us here, and bring up boxes of the Boboli loose with no wrapping / packaging. We must have had pizza every night for supper. We made all sorts of concoctions with them.

Then in a few months, they started to flood the supermarkets.
Today, they don't seem to be that popular.? At least here anyway!!

If it was just me there would be a lot fewer things on the table but everyone has their own preferences.

Had Grotons fish breaded...and shrimp wrapped with bacon.
In the oven 450 and 26 minutes....Done!
Had cubed potatoes with butter and chives. Sliced canned carrots.

A tomato salad with oregano / olive oil / water / sugar / ..... refreshing!

Ice cream for dessert.

My kids are a real pita.... just the meat and cheese.
They don't eat lettuce...tomatoes or even chunky salsa.
Jimmy won't eat anything with BBQ sauce, and Maria has to puree her salsa, after picks out the onions.

We all have our own food idiosyncrasies. I pick raisins out of anything that has them. My roomie now refuses to eat pork because pigs are cute and smart. She can't stand getting mayo on her hands. She can't stand anything on her plate to co-mingle. I gag on undercooked eggs. My DH won't eat custard or puddings. Roomie hates chunky salsa. DH hates tomato chunks in anything. A friend puts mayo on her tacos. Roomie puts hot sauce on everything. My DH hates spinach in soup.

OMG bugs.... that is so funny! ....

My dad was a Grizzle eater. He would put a whole chicken leg in his mouth, and somehow remove all the flesh off and then chew the knuckle joints so that the shaft of the bone was left. He loved pigs faces, and tails and ears. The crunchier with grizzle, the better. You know the breast bone on the chicken with that white cartilage,? He would crunch the living heck out of that, and would pick that part off the plates of mine and brothers dish; and whomever was eating over at that time.

Tina...loves the reptillian feet of the chicken. She grew up poor, and the feet of the chicken were given free. They made chicken soup with it, and ate every yellow tyranisaurus rex looking feet right down to the nails.

I for one will not eat an egg that has runny whites. When I go for breakfast at a restaurant, I ask for scrambled hard eggs.

Tina will scramble eggs...fry them, and then put the cooked eggs into the smelly bowl that she scrambled the eggs in, and eat her eggs. Yuuuk!
That pullet smell of raw eggs for me, is a turn off!!

Tina is risking salmonella by doing that Jimmy. That reminds me another thing: if I have eaten eggs and been drinking out of a glass, after I am finished with the meal, I have to get a new glass to drink out of 'cause the old one stinks of egg. I hear ya Jimmy. YUCK!
I also thought of another thing I do: I love to suck on the blackened fat off of a piece of steak. I don't swallow the chunks, I just love the crispy edges.
Another thing I just thought of: my roomie eats breakfast cereal with water, not milk. EWE!
After turkey day, I make my turkey sandwiches smeared with any leftover, COLD, gravy. My DH has fits. He says it is cold, clabbered grease.

I will be the one to say it-----enough of this!!!

ok--off soap box......

Seriously Jimmy, I agree with Bugster. Tina is taking a terrible chance of contracting food poisoning.
Eggs are not as fresh as they used to be years ago, plus who knows about the packing methods, etc.....

bounce

Bugs.... Tina has anti-bodies against Salmonella. When she was a kid, her Grandmom made chicken soup, and it stayed for a few days on the shelf of the coal stove in the kitchen. She said, she remembers getting soup from the big pot, and scraping the green mold off and eating the soup.

I hear ya on the smell of egg on the glass or even the forks etc. When I scramble eggs, I wash the bowl with Dawn dish soap, and then it goes in the dishwasher.

BTW.... I looked in the Fridge yesterday, and there it was. EGGNOG ! !
My mom used to make it, and with a hand beater, and Bro and I would be drinking it, and then G A G when we would get the egg snot. Bro hated that, and so did I, but mom MADE US Drink it for vitamins.
Believe me.... I didn't need vitamins after my tonsils were removed. I puffed like a balloon. I was a "Robert Halls" Husky!

Oh! I will eat crispy browned fat too!

Well.... I guess it's spaghetti and meat balls and sausage today for supper.
Tina made a pot (medium size) of tomato sauce. Smells great in the kitchen.

She has a nice veal chop cooking in the sauce for flavor! ....

There were like 6 big tomatoes we got from the farm, and I peeled them and seeded them, and they are chopped and in the freezer. There are a couple good blemish free ones for slicing for sammiches..... SOON!!

I was the chef today for supper. I made Gabe his salmon (atlantic) done with a little oil in a fry pan, and later finished with salt and white wine and cooked down to glaze the salmon. He really enjoyed it, and said the Salmon was done perfect! Surely amazed me!! LOL He had a sweet potato and canned corn.

For Tina and Me....I made cod fish with green onions and diced tomatoes, in a oil and butter sauce / with white wine. Tina didn't like the tomatoes. So Picky!
Had cubed potatoes leftover from yesterday, and corn.

Dessert is thawing for us. Krispy Kreme Glazed Doughnuts! Having Krispy Kreme Coffee with them too. My favorite!

Do those donuts get runny when they thaw? I guess I am thinking of the glazed kind. Out here in CA if you let them sit out overnight, even in a container, the donuts get wet and runny.

Tina took em out (1/2 doz. box wrapped in saran wrap, from the -10º freezer, and set them on the counter in the kitchen, and 4 were perfect, and two were sweaty.

The trick is to take them out of the freezer, and place in the refrigerator to come up to like 40º, and then put them out to eat. Then they don't sweat!
Tonight, it was a panic to get them thawed. Were they good?? Oh Yeah!!
I ate three...and Tina two! One left, and I have my eye on it!
Gabe won't eat one because he said it's no good for his dibedese! YET! He will eat three scoops of Friendly's Chocolate ice cream, and a tastycake cupcake and think it's not many carbs!.... Go Figure?
