Baked pork ribs slow and low in the oven for 4 hours or so.
Tina made macaroni salad.
Gabe had chicken from the rotisserie at the market. Mashed taters, and beans.
Whilst I was doing the ribs, I did a Corned beef transformation into Pastrami!
Lots of crushed black peppercorns, and corriander and mustard seeds crushed.
Coated the corned beef, and wrapped sealed tight in double foil.
Tomorrow (or tonight as snack) on Seeded Rye (Barb, caraway seeds
hahahaha ) that Tina bought at the A&P up on the hill!

Back to a salt free diet for me. Eye doc says I have a broken eye muscle (vessel) from possible HP. I have not taken it at home in forever. Took out the machine from hiding so in the morning I will check it.Then when I go for my new eye script.I heard those store machines are not correct.

I like em just boiled and drained of 1/2 the liquid, add 1/4 of a stick of butter.
Eat it like a soup. Sprinkled with salt. That's it!

High BP is what caused that darn mini stroke with me, and I saw double.
I still see double over the left shoulder, but I can sense the left eye trying to adjust as it quivers.
We have the machine, and it blows up the cuff by itself. Well.....It keeps squeezing
and pumping on me till it almost bursts.
It did that at the gastro doctor three times on me. I asked the nurse if she could take the pressure with a regular manual mercury manometer, and she said," I don't know how!".....LOL...

yup took my reading this morning at 7am..169/91.
No salt for me.so lets see.no salt,low carb,no to low sugar. Lean protein.. so that means no bacon.cut way back on pasta,treat myself to a small bit of bread.
Cut back on beef.Kinda does damage to my baking too.
Got to bring that ### down..

SURPRISE!!! I'M BACK !!!
Looks like everyone did just fine in the cooking dept. while I was away.
I made the mistake of asking what 'he' wanted me to cook since I've been away almost two weeks ~ don't think I'll ask ever again....
Ah, how about southern fried chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy and some broccoli???
What a mess. Icky hands from putting the buttermilk soaked chicken into the seasoned flour - and the STOVE!!! Yuck.
But he was happy.

I know he knows I don't like to fry chicken. I always complain about the mess. But I think he just asks for it as a 'test' to see if I'll actually do it.

A Sickly Sorry Supper for me, and I did NOT eat this soup!
Tina made the soup for her Aunt Marge in PA. She just came home from the rehab. She loves chicken feet too! Must be a Hungarian Thing!!

Looks better than what I watched cook on the stove today! Them darn feet were trying to climb out of the pot as they boiled! hahahahahahaha
Barb! Do you like Mrs' Dash salt substitute?? The original one is not too bad!
Your pressure is high. Wow! ..... I'm battling 140 / 80 and that happens only if I take my pills and wait 3 hours. Other than that, I range 180 / 92 ish! ..... That's with the home BP Kit, and with the bulb type manual, it runs a little lower.
Norm... KFC used to make popcorn chicken, and I ate that. Nice and crunchy! Then they stopped making it!!... p _ _ _ ed me off royally. The guy said the chicken tenders replaced the pop corn type. Those tenders are wet and mushy. Yuck!
Sometime Tina gets the bucket of KFC xtra crispy, and she takes mine out, and puts the pieces in the oven at 325 on a cooling rack, and the chicken cooks further so it dries it out enough for me to eat it!

The Asian market I go to sells chicken feet by the package of around 15 or 20.

I will eat soup made with backs and necks, but that is about it.
Tina likes creamed feet and wings too!
My mom made tomato sauce with backs and necks. It is a tasty sauce, but a lot of bones.
I remember mom and dad with a pile of necks on the table, and sucking the meat off them. Occasionally, dad or mom would do a choky choky; but were able to recover and get it unstuck. What a horror for two kids to watch!
We would ask mom." ma, could you strain the bones out of the sauce?"
She would say," no, use your tongue to find them, and eat slow!!"
Eat slow?....Me?.... never!"

Tina picked me up a couple on way home from PA today!
Plus three dozen Krispy Kreme Doughnuts....YUMMmmmm!!!
Kids will be coming soon 4:00 to 8:00 in the town.
