I've had a cold for the first time since I can't remember when. I got it from Charlie and didn't feel like cooking much. I did make fajitas a couple days ago and today I did a pork tenderloin with apples, shallots and spinach and a Dutch Apple Dumpling

I, also, can't remember the last time I had a cold. Or flu. Or any ailment I always seemed to get on a regular basis. And I don't miss any of them!

Tonight was a grill night ~ charcoal grill.....

The burgers I planned for last night got grilled. I made a Mediterranean Salad to go with our burgers.

I had a bowl of chicken broth and noodles. ( stomach issues ). Had 2 slices burnt toast. Charcoaled .....
Tina had a few pierogi that we had in the freezer. DD bought us a butter crock / bell. I never seen anything like it. This one uses water up to the line it says..... we shall see!

Since HE is the one who says he has digestive problems I've come up with a fabulous new idea to decide what's for supper.......

HE has to decide.

Works for me.

HE thought for about 15 minutes before HE came up with shrimp. I asked, "Fried ?" and he said, "yes".

So, fried shrimp it was. I added some of the itty bitty baby potatoes ~ simmered until tender, smushed and finally browned in a bit of oil & butter until golden. It was like eating a pat of butter wrapped in a potato skin.....SO GOOD! And to top it off, for HIM, I added his favorite lima beans.

HE had some night time difficulties after our supper.

We think it might be connected to the fried potatoes.....but maybe the fried shrimp contributed to it as well.....

So, tonight we're having a simple Mediterranean Chicken Salad ~ lightly sauteed chicken on the rest of the salad I made the other night.

I'm after HIM to ask his doc to test him for gall bladder problems ~ nothing else seems to fit his symptoms........

AND I'M SICK OF HIM BEING SICK !!!

Serving something I know HE can eat without problems makes for a much nicer supper.

We had this a week ago and then I made it again (without chicken) for a lunch and used the leftovers for tonight.

It's such a simple and tasty meal.

There won't be any cooking at my house for a couple days.

DD#1 ~ Andrea and son-in-law, Jim, flew in for Bill's Celebration of Life that is tomorrow.

Today is Jim's birthday so we'll be going to Chop House for a Birthday Supper.

Tomorrow will be exclusively at Lyn's ~ Celebration of Life at 11:00 with a luncheon at the church and then a catered supper for family & close friends at her house in the evening.

Dane & Jim will be playing golf today & Sunday and then Sunday night the kids will drive to Orlando to stay the night before flying home early Monday morning.

It was a tuna salad on white for me. Tina has stomach issues. She ate greasy butter, and her gall bladder flared up. She just had mashed potatoes.

Everything looks soooooo good, Beth. Love that Burrata and tomato salad. Was that one huge tomato that has grill marks on it? So much food, was it all served family style?

I went out with my niece and had a yummy Thai stir fry with chicken. The bed of rice was really good. As was the rest also, Forgot to take a picture.

Andrea & Jim split the Tomato Burrata Salad....it has a basalmic glaze drizzled all over it....

And, no ~ not family style. We each ordered different meals off the menu. The night's specials were the wahoo w/shrimp Dane ordered and the cowboy ribeye w/lobster Jim wanted.

There were two desserts delivered that I didn't get a pic of because I had excused myself to go wash my hands and by the time I got back to the table Jim & Dane had gotten through about half of each. Andrea & I just sat and watched....LOL

I went to the farmers market and got some green beans and okra. I added some corn and taco seasoning to left over chili and topped it with corn bread mixed with some shredded cheddar cheese
