She picked me up cod fish. On sale for 4 bucks for a whole pound.
SOoooooo.....I had the fish...they had the taco's. I had two slices of wonder bread with it. No veggies. My lower intestines are all gassed up. I've been in pain all day, and taking enzymes and malox ....

Barb...I don't know how you heat the beef or any meat, but I take a small pot and crumple foil to raise the beef from touching bottom, then add 1/4 inch of water.... get it boiling, then add the beef or chicken etc, and in a minute, it is heated to hot without cooking.

eggplant casserole.
She wants potato and macaroni salad. Just a little of each for the weekend.
Burgers and hot dogs will be in order too.
I have my work cut out; sectioning fresh london broils and separating ground beef for freezing in portions.
I feel much better today, but still taking it easy. T-stat is set on 72, plenty of coffee and iced tea, so that will be the order of the day!

Crap '!!!! I went out to get s couple racks of baby back ribs,,,guess what??? No plain ones. I got pissy with the butcher and he said that none on his order. That has to be the dumbest thing ever on a holiday. So I can go back out tomorrow in the tropical storm in the rain to another store. Or just forget about it

The wings here are $3.49/lb.
And I still bemoan when I use to get them on sale for $.89/lb.
They're just bones......tasty bones, but just bones basically.

Burgers tonight. Everyone wants a dose of vitamin G.
Question: Do you have an easy way to get sticky things like honey and mustard out of a measuring spoon? All I do is bang it on the side of the bowl or pan and some of it gets on me, some on the sides of the bowl. It would be nice to have the whole glob just slide out. I know a little oil works but it is a PITA.

Tonight was a cold chicken salad.....romaine, carrots, celery, cooked farro, grilled corn, hard cooked eggs, the first two Roma tomatoes from the one plant in the courtyard and the half of leftover chicken breast from last night's grilled chicken.....
The vinegarette was something I threw together ~ lemon, sambal, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, vegetable oil (pretty tasty).

You know what I hate? When a for instance, a box cake, calls for 1/3 or 1/2 cup of oil or shortening, ad then the measure cup is all oily, and I don't want to stick it in the dish washer.
I take a piece of saran wrap, and push it in the cup, then when I measure the oil, I just flip the saran wrap and drippage, right in the trash. Now I have a clean measuring cup.
