Personally, those Nabisco Chocolate Wafer cookies are my #1 favorite just to eat. Love that dark chocolate flavor and the crisp "SNAP" when you break them in half.
But, alas, I think it's been years since I've eaten them because (as we all know).......BETH HAS NO WILL POWER. She will eat the entire package given the opportunity. Therefore, Beth does not buy them anymore. But, I can live vicariously through your pics!
I remember my mom used to make them, with cooked vanilla pudding between the slices of wafer cookies, and then she would cover the log with home made whipped cream. On top, she would drop marachino cherries in a line.
Sometimes, she would put thin slices of banana in between the wafers and pudding. OMG! .... It was always finished with no leftovers.
