Speaking of waffles.... I made waffles today! Fried bacon. Baked sausage patties.
The kids came for breakfast. I had a egg cheese, and sausage on an English muffin instead of waffles. The waffle batter ( yeast raised ) was superior over the previous batters I made; because I used buttermilk instead of the heavy cream. It seemed to really lighten the batter, and the waffles had a lighter body to them.

I saw a continer of butternut squash soup in the freezer and thawed it out for my lunch - reheated with a splash of half & half and a sprinkle of shelled pumpkin seeds. Tasty.

I just bought a 4 box case of 24 in each box.... Paid $57.00 for total of 96 K cups ... comes to a la la er er ...54 cents a cup?? something like that??
I pay no shipping because I get Tinas French vanilla decaf ...and her Butter Toffee.
I just finished a cup of KK just now! LOL

I saw some rhubarb at the grocery store.....small package of 'cut into 6" stalks' for over $5.

In a 9" pie dish brushed w/ melted butter, place your slices of bread in the dish, overlapping eachother, then brush with more melted butter.

Now for your filling:
1 bunch of asparagus spears, trimmed and cut into quarters.
2 fat leeks, trimmed and sliced (white and light green parts only)
bunch of mushrooms, any type, sliced
olive oil and butter
kosher salt & pepper
3 extra large eggs
1/2 cup of heavy cream
1/2 cup of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, grated (you can use another cheese if you like, but this keeps it light)
small handful of fresh choppped dill
350`35 minutes
