When it gets like that here, and I want to cook on the grill, I set up a box fan, or a pedestal fan to blow on me to at least get some air movement. JUNE, 2015...What's For Dinner?? - Page 4 387840482

why didn't I think of that.. JUNE, 2015...What's For Dinner?? - Page 4 2855670339 JUNE, 2015...What's For Dinner?? - Page 4 2855670339 JUNE, 2015...What's For Dinner?? - Page 4 2855670339

Forgot to mention, the air movement blows the bugs away. Especially mosquito's. They hate wind, and cannot fly well with the air blowing. cheers

Taco's for supper tonight!
Ortega spice packet and beef ground....some additional penzeys spices extra kick.

I diced tomato and minced onion. Still have to sliver some iceberg lettuce.
Yellow cheddar too!

I tried two new recipes. One was adobo steak tacos that I made with some T-bones in the freezer, with pineapple salsa and a Caribbean style black beans.

I just saw an interesting video on peeling tomatoes. I used to cut an X in the bottom of the 'mater and drop it in boiling water for a few minutes and pull them out. the skin is supposed to slide right off but most of the time it requires more labor. This chef put the tomatoes on a parchment lined jelly roll pan, put them in a 500 degree oven for 5 minutes until their skins started to wrinkle. Pull 'em out and cool five minutes. The tomatoes fall right out of their skins.

Tonight I am trying a new recipe for seafood linguini.

Bugsters, all of the chili peppers I used in the salsa were fresh peppers.

I used the peppers available at the grocery store. I substituted the ones they didn't have for other kinds they did have. I used a blend of mild and not-too-hot peppers.

I guess beef stroganoff . Tina bought a package of diced already beef.
I'll just braise it slow with onions and mushrooms.

Noodles would go great with it.....or maybe I will make potato dumplings.

Oh, Norm! The tacos I've been craving just got ramped up. Beautiful presentation -- nothing on that table that I wouldn't use either!

The pizza looks good. Thick is good that leftovers are great for breakfast.

We all had different suppers. We ( Tina and I ), had to go to a funeral parlor at 6:00....left there, and Tina picked up a burger and fries at Micky D's for Gabe. And at Wendys, a Baked potato for her.

I ate the beef stroganoff over noodles. It was so good, I had two plates full.

We all really liked it but next time we all think a chuck steak or a couple of flat irons will be better choices than strip or T-bones. I have a Cuban steak on the grill recipe I am thinking about doing the next time I make this salsa.

What cut of meat does the Cuban steak call for, Norm? I love Cuban food!
