Thanks all. Crown Royal is Charlie's usual choice too. There was no liquor (except bride and groom's champagne). I didn't see the toast. Charlie's mom was really tired so we left after dinner and before the cake.

I will be there also! I miss my mom's pierogi!!!
My aunt used to make ones that were in beet soup (borscht). They were stuffed with ground up meat from the stock (chuck steak) and were cooked in the soup!! So good! I have not found anyone who has ever made them this way..
My mom made just the potato ones.
The kind I bought at the Polish store were potato with cheese or potato with onion.
