lo they had them on QVC last sunday.Bet sales where not that good.$500. for a pot to cook in Shocked   ,well,on special $400.5 or 6 payments.Heck David couldn't even sell that one..I have been to the outlet,it is between here ,,Charleston & Hilton Head.If I really had to have it I would just drive down there.

wish they would do that for a stove/range I would buy it.hahahaha

Hey I am happy you got it. Good Cooking..Very Happy

Beth that looks good.I loaded up on pasta just the other day, something I have not bought much of. Publix has a sale rack in the back by the dairy, holy cow that thing was full on 3 sides with DeCrecco pastas.I picked up 16oz bags (6) for 50c & $1. none of it past date. it had 2019 lol.In fact if it is not gone I will get some more today.

I got some those shaped ones I may have to make this..Got some shaped like wheels, guess I will use that for when of my grands is here.

Jimmy feel better..

Probably no cooking most of the day. Cheryle (sister-in-law) and I are going out to lunch with my friends, Lyn & Barb, and then we get to go look at Barb's NEW HOUSE! She's been here a little over a week, came down from Ohio with the intention of purchasing a home. The one she wanted to purchase was finally finished by the builder and released for sale yesterday so she's walking on Cloud 9.

If Cheryle & I are here at the house for supper I'll probably pull a container of jambalaya out of the freezer to thaw & heat. Easy, tasty supper.

Yup, Jimmy - pan toasted panko w/butter in a pan, sprinkled over pasta....YUM!

Gives some texture, taste & absorbs in the sauce. Good stuff.

Lisa, does Sur la Table have the 7 qt KitchenAid mixer?  I just got a King Arthur catalog and saw it listed.  It's on sale there for 499.95 with mail in rebate and free shipping. It has all metal gears and coated beater and dough hook, and I am sorely tempted to get myself one for Christmas.

ok.. Now I know the taste. Mom used to make that fried in butter and a little oil, and add them to cut green beans. SOooooo Good!
Then there is frying bread crumbs with oil and a little minced garlic. Add canned tuna with the oil, and mix it all up and over spaghetti. Eat it with squirts from lemon wedges. Oh So Good!

Tina maketh the hamburgers for supper tonight.
She made rice and beans for lunch. I had a _ issy day today!
The car would not start for Tina this morning, and just as I was about to start painting...Grrrrr!

I did a quick check, and the fuel pump was not running. Grrrr

Too crippled to do that climbing under the car stuff...so I called the garage to do it.
Now comes the fun part...

I called the local towing place, and the guy came out to tow the car to the repair shop.
As he was loading the car on the flat bed, the cable jammed. He went to free it, and the car rolled off the bed nose first.
Luckily it stopped and did no under damage.
Tina said, I must have jinxed it! hahaaaaaa

The only good thing, is it happened in the driveway.

I told Tina,"well there goes the new entertainment center furniture. LOL

OMG, Barb....thanks for NOTHING! NOW I am hungry for meatloaf and mashed potatoes ~ and I'm too busy with helping friends right now to make it. And the ground beef here is so high priced. But I am SO hungry for your meal.....looks wonderful to me.

Cheryle & I got back around 4:30 and I pulled a container of jambalaya out of the freezer to thaw in the microwave, then made the rice in there. I cleaned the shrimp and cooked them in the simmering jambalaya - no salad, but we're both full.

I stole that idea from Imelda....a buttered coffee cup, hot cooked rice, pack it in, flip it on the plate...viola! Pretty plate.

November, 2013 - what's cooking in the kitchen? - Page 8 2453703928 I bought a bunch of gd beef when on sale .If the store Food Lion has it on my sunday morning go to.it is not past due either well they say it isn't lol. Some are already made patties.Nice thick burgers I don't have to mess with. It is pretty bad when gd meat is higher $ per Lb then steak.

I am old school I guess,I do not like all those wet veggies in my meatloaf.Sometimes I put in onions. sometimes just the dry lipton onion. If I want a veggie loaf then I would make one lol.

DD stopped by to pay me some money she borrowed (scratch November, 2013 - what's cooking in the kitchen? - Page 8 1450907917 ) She said omg you make the best meatloaf,so now I have enough left for a nice big fat lunch sandwich..November, 2013 - what's cooking in the kitchen? - Page 8 3267860543

Imelda - good looking steak. Your DH must be SO happy to have you back in the kitchen to complete a meal when he gets the grill going.

**************

Barb - Clever idea to turn a meatloaf into a patty melt. Why didn't I ever think to do that for Mr. Amazing??? That's an idea that's going to go on the back burner of my brain to do when he's here and retired in February. (Man, I always feel like a thief in the night when I see a great idea and just know I'm going to make it my own....)

**************

Gee Whiz, Jimmy - haven't you been painting and redecorating for weeks? You should be done by now.

Seriously, take it easy. The rollers get a lot heavier each year, especially when it's all above your head.

Yeah! A long time. It'll all start to go back this afternoon.
The furniture and pellet stove mover (Jimmy Me ) will be glad to get a little back to normal.

Makes no difference. I've been hungry for chicken & dumplings ever since I spied that first picture!
