today I made some pasta, seeing Jana's pasta reminded me that I did not cook pasta for a long time, so I rummaged my pantry and found a box of small shell pasta, I searched my fridge, I found some hot sausages (links), yellow and green bellpeppers, some celery, then my DH picked some jalapeno, thyme and basil from our backyard, I just bought 5 lbs of Mexican blend cheese and tada..
and I made some hot dog buns (using bread dough) for the refreshment after church this afternoon

I put some pork ribs and pineapple brats in the smoker today. We had company so I didn't take pictures.

Jimmy Had 1 and 1/2 small hot dog buns with Tuna Salad Tina made. Fine minced onion, and No Celery! 
I like celery and the onions diced. Tina made it for HER Liking.
Tina made a pot of chicken soup. She and GD ate that. I DID NOT!
I was helping the neighbor do a Brake Job repairs on his wifes vehicle. It was a bucket of rust, and three parts broke. 125,000 miles, and never did the rear drum brakes on the van. It as a Grrrrr Kind of a day.
It' dark out at 8:57 and it's 80º out. I was 86 at 4:00....i got sunburned a little on my white @$$ face and neck standing and working in a hot driveway.LOL LOL
I don't know what to make for tommorow, but I know after church Tina has to go to a Wedding Shower. hahahahaha... F R E E D O M ! for a couple hours. Yay!

sounds wonderful..Ok let me ask,I know you use charcoal smoker, I want one but i don't want to babysit the thing.in the winter it might be ok ,then it would still be iffy.
I vote for electric.a cheap one at that.I saw a new one not even used once on craigs list for $40.just the one I wanted. But that place scares me.

Many many years ago I had an electric smoker that looked like R2D2. Weber makes a smoker called smokey mountain that looks like the electric one I had. It was cheap and worked just fine. A lot of times someone will buy a nice smoker and never use or use it once then sell it for a bargain price. Mine is rather expensive and uses wood and charcoal in combination. It does not get very hot with just charcoal alone and does not smoke without wood. I use small wood logs and chunks, not water soaked chips. I like apple wood but get hickory and birch more easily.

DW is going to a wedding shower and I told her to fill up on the food so I don't have to cook. LOL
She said...I'll be home for supper! I said, "Yeah; like I'll be home for Christmas!"
It will be Hamburgers on the grill... I want a couple hot dogs instead.

Supper is over! Just cleaned up, and hveo rinse and put the junk in the dishwasher.
I made burgers on the grill....as planned.
Tina opened a can of Van Camps Beeny Weeny. ( Franks and Beans.) They were amazingly good.
Looks like rain in a few hours...I hear the little boom booms in the distant.
Tina is Going To Atlantic City with her Uncle and Aunt to play at the casino'$.
She drives to uncles 1 hour, and then they go to the church to get on the bus with the senior citizens.
Her aunt goes to A.C. at least once a month and they only came home 9 times with winnings. She is so lucky she hits big all the time. She was mad the last trip because she won only $1,900.00 and then only hit on another play and won $850.00.
She was mad because the Taxes Were Due for the quarter, and she was shorta few hundred dollar$. Can you imagine. Three months ago she hit $9,600.00 . That made her happy! They win so much, I told Tina to stick by her aunt.
I don't gamble. I am a total JINX anyway. I mean, I am such a jinx, I would be the One in a Million that I would have the Only key that would open the lions cage! LOL

I've got some Pasta Chi Chi ...( Shells with Chick Peas ) cooking.
That is the first real meal that Gram taught me to make other than simple frying eggs or sausage. I was about 8 when she le me do the recipe as she watched and coached me. There were no measuring spoons or cups. Everything was a sprinkle or a teenie bit, or a shake of this kind of cooking.
I served it to mom, dad, and brother when it was supper time. They loved it!
It was a something to make on Friday's when we ate no meat so as not to sin if we did. L O L
BTW... Tina called me from Atlantic City. She hit 500 bucks on the second pull on the machine. Her Lucky Aunt, spent 20 bucks on a machine, and was mad...so she moved to another machine, and wone a mere 1800 bucks on the first pull. Nice huh?

oh jimmy how I love chic peas.I think I stopped buying them due to high carbs but now I need to go look.
I used to put them in salads. tossed green salads.so good.
also i miss chick pea fritters aka felafel..
oh I am going to buy some.. I just thought about some home made HUMMUS!!!

Tonight I made the beef pot roast Dane asked for. Amazing how such a little thing can make a guy so happy.
Even Huckleberry the goofy lab loved the leftover fat from the roast. He doesn't usually get table scraps but DD thought he might eat his dog food if it had beef fat stirred in. Yup, it worked!
Tomorrow will be golf Wednesday so we'll be going out with friends fo margaritas and Mexican. Don't know what DD and GS will fix....probably breakfast for supper.

I think it was Wolfs Canned Texas chili brand.
Supper, I had Tinas leftover breaded shrimps she had at Charlie Browns. She and her friend Mary took their friend Sr. Louis out for dinner for her birthday. Tina said they had a great time.
GD had chicken soup that T made the other day. I got heartburn from the fried shrimp; so I will have a snack later on tonight.

I tested my BG this morning ,was not high at all.bread is not on food list. High carb that makes a mad dash to the blood,turns right into sugar.
