DD#2 had cats that would eat anything....if she left the loaf of bread within sniffing distance the two of them would work until they got to it. She had to keep her bread in a metal "Charlie's Chips" container. If she just stuck it into the cupboard those two darn cats would work together to get the door open (cupboards had those magnetic hold-shut things).

yup, I had one that did that too. I shoved it all in the microwave lol.

Your cats ate the bread???

Yes and surprised me that this cat is getting into stuff I leave out.She is 11yrs old maybe,not sure.She has to drink water from her bowl/glass lol yet the same water that the dogs drink..She never did this before.

I had a rag doll that did the same thing.I had to hide all bread stuff.He would get into anything left out.

Aren't those "gifts" just wonderful? My DH now comes to me or Roomie and asks " Is Smidge your cat?" or "Is Cooper your dog?". If we answer yes, he will say "Well, YOUR cat left a fur ball on the rug or YOUR cat left a skid mark on the rug, or YOUR dog threw-up on the floor." which means that one of us has to clean it up. The next house I own is not going to have carpet.

And then after all the bull chit scrubbing' carpet shampooing, and sanitizing at 1 oclock in the morning, to him its all a joke when he said,"Ah, It's good for the rug... ha ha ha!" with a snide attitude!...

Tonight will be burgers on the grill and cheese topped. Fried onions for mommy T,
and onions raw on mine with a tomato slice and mayo plopped in a way that it drips with every bite onto my face. ( think i'm like hungry? )Sweet hot pickles and peppers on the side.

Gabe gets sliced turkey breast...mashed potatoes and corn. No gravy....no butter....no pepper or salt...just a B O R I N G Meal. Flavorless.

I thought that I would be in Ottawa for two nights, but something came up and I'm backat Uncle Ernie's place. He wasn't expecting me so I stopped at the grocery store, and picked up a few things Three NY strip steaks, a couple of peppers, some cukes, two onions.,and a bunch of mushrooms. Unc is real good at the grill. So, I prepped, made a salad, cooked the mushrooms and onions, and he did the steaks, and oh, forgot I also bought fresh corn on the cob.

Someone,. a batchelor, rents a spot to tie up his houseboat here, so Steve was invited for dinner. See, there was a reason for me getting three steaks, right?

That's good pasta. Next time you make a 'light' pasta (like my BLT pasta) that doesn't have a heavy sauce.....say, one of yours with shrimp & lemon.....add some buttered, toasted panko crumbs on the top. Changes it entirely without a great deal of carbs. The nutty crunch is amazing.

I have been eating frozen food and fast food while the kids are in Seattle. I've had tacos, fish sandwich, frozen chimichangas and peanut butter and a jelly sandwich.

It is going to be in the mid 90's today. I don't know what to cook. I may try a new recipe for seared scallops with Calvados on a bed of spinach.

I was reading the paper this morning and almost choked. There was a blurb about a woman opening a second location for her store. The name of the store is "Once In A Licetime". WHAT??? What did I read? Well, apparently these stores use a natural product to kill lice and then they comb out the creatures and their nits for you. I can't imagine that there actually is a demand for this service AND that business is so good that she opened a second store. Are lice that much of a problem among school kids? I am itching just talking about it. Anyway, it made my day. What a hoot!

I turned the heater today here. Right now it's 52º. Once several years ago one of the neighbor kids spent the night with Charlie. The next morning, his little sister came over and said he had to come home now. He has headlights.

When we were kids, we called them "cooties".......

Tina got them when she was little, and the school nurse sent her home immediately, with a note!

Wash childs hair with lestoil or pine tar soap, and comb to rid the lice and eggs.
When child returns, he / she shall report to the nurse in the office before going to class room.
