I also thawed some marinara to top it with. I had one stalk of broccoli left so I added a shredded carrot for the color combination I love.

I'm confused about the heat. My daughter lived in Huntington Beach CA and they didn't need AC in the house. Is that because they were only two blocks from the Pacific?

It is a place that started out supplying wood to other BBQ restaurants for their smokers and to people who use wood at home and at contests. After a while, they started serving their own food and have a reputation of their own now. They have been on TV shows by Guy Fieri, Anthony Bourdain and recently by Andrew Zimmern. Here are two views from the back yard. One of the wood yard and the other is the entrance. Cassis and Charlie told me the last time they were there, they had live music and lines out the door. It was quiet when we were there but it was late for lunch time and early for dinner

bethk wrote:It looked like it was going to pour down on us, which would be a good thing...we really need the rain (Barb, you could send some my way....). So, I decided to get the pork steaks grilled quickly, therefore, an early supper.
No rain. It just broke apart and floated away. The temperature did drop about 15 degrees, which was good, but I sure wish it would have given us a typical 20 minute downpour to help green up the lawn.
As we were eating Dane mentioned he no longer likes the pork steaks.....too much fat for his taste. So, I guess I'll buy a package of (tasteless) boneless pork loin chops for him to have and I'll save the less expensive, better tasting pork shoulder steaks for me.
