I guess it is my turn to start the thread. DH and roomie are at the beach so I have no idea if they are going to want to eat. I have some TJ's French onion soup that I can feed them.

Do you ever wish that some of your odd shaped cookware had lids? I do. All of the time. I have a rectangle griddle that I wish had a lid. I am going to make one. I will buy another 9 X 13 pan and a heatproof handle from the hardware store. Something cheap. That is all I need. I will have DH screw the handle on the bottom of the pan. Now I have my lid. It will come in handy when I am trying to heat some burger buns.

Re: Lids. Yes, I have pans that I wish came with lids. When I don't have anything that fits I usually just put a dinner plate over it....most of the time it's a skillet of some sort and I just want a lid for a short period of time.

I pulled a boneless chicken breast out of the freezer without a clue what I was going to make. I saw the leftover rice and decided to go the teryiaki skewer route with the side of rice and a vegetable. I remember when I was really a youngster I read about an interview Marilyn Monroe gave. She mentioned she loved peas and carrots....not that she liked the taste but she liked how pretty they were on her plate. For some reason that really connected with me and peas & carrots are one of my favorites!

Supper Tonight??? Hmmmm????

Tina just made a huge pot of meatballs and sausage in a great tomato sauce, but that is for the Sunday party! YES! ..... Another celebration dinner, for DIL Sherrie.... ( 44 Y/O )
She wanted pork tenderloins, but changed her mind and NOW Wants Pork Spare Ribs.
So we have our work cut out for us, but well worth it. She's a good kid.
Potato Salad to compliment the ribs too!

But... Getting Back to todays meal, I guess whatever we feel like eating. Have some nice tomatoes, and bacon, so maybe BLT's with cheese and a slice of salami. We call those BLTCS's .
SOoooo GOoooood!

Barb. Tina picked up a package of Sabretts Hot Dogs for me. Hot and Spicy flavor! A manager at the store said they are not going to carry them anymore. They don't move.
Darn, I cannot wait to try them. Sabretts are my favorite hot dogs.

Just how did you do those ribs???? It is hit or miss when I do them . Have done them on my weber small gasser. Then on the weber charcoal. Mess mess to clean up. I did them once I think on my smoker. That was less mess however I sauced then inside and put in oven.. Then I had mess lol maybe no way around that except buy them already done.

Barbara, I put a dry rub on them, then wrapped them and refrigerated overnight.  Then I put them in my smoker, bone side down, for 4 hours @ 230º with charcoal and apple wood. Then I painted them on top with BBQ sauce, wrapped them in foil and continued smoking for another hour.  The hottest the smoker ever got was 250 and that was just for about 15 minutes.

With the burnt ends, wrapped them in foil after three hours, an hour later, took them inside and let cool off a little, cut them into 1-inch cubes, sauced them, made an open pan with the foil and smoked them for another 45 minutes.

I have left overs that can be frozen. I have more uncooked ribs in the freezer. Give me a few days notice and I can have some waiting for you when you get here!
