My BIL used to live out near the Siracha factory. If you drive nearby and are downwind, you wouldn't believe the eye-watering and nose burning that can happen to you. Just as bad as driving through Gilroy, CA during the summer and the garlic smell. Absolutely overpowering. A bunch of neighbors put up a fuss about the smell and the factory was temporarily shut down. Then we almost lost the plant to Texas but they decided to stay. Texas is stealing many of the businesses that are out here. They have a better tax rate, incentives and much more affordable housing.

I can imagine that's a pretty firery feeling if the vapors come your way.
I'm glad the only thing I ever smell is when the citrus orchards are in bloom (absolutely heavenly) or when they are processing orange juice....not bad at all.

Alll those meals look great girls.
We are on a cooking binge here.
Tina made Italian Wedding soup. I am cooking the seafood of muscles, cod, and shrimp in tomatoes, wine and butter sauce. .... I will have that with crackers. ( that makes me feel like it's less calories, but the whole sleeve of crackers? )
And for way later on, Tina wants to make a Bobolli pizza.
We are on a cooking binge here.

And if the wind is blowing Just Right..... we can smell the aroma of the m&m's chocolate, and especially when they are roasting the peanuts for the m&m Peanut candy!

We used to have a Nabisco plant nearby that would bake lemon cookies. The smell was to die for. We also had a Barbara Ann bakery plant (they made bread) that was right next to the Pasadena freeway. When you drove by the smell had your stomach growling.

I don't know how to say this, but I was actually ashamed of myself. It's different if you do something embarrassing in front of others, but to be embarrassed at yourself, is the worst!
I ate a whole pile of shrimp and muscles right from the pot I cooked them in. Like slob, and dripping fingers, and sucking sounds so obnoxious, that the two cats ran away to hide.
There were crackers and crumbs all over the counter, and there I was, like in an eating contest; and enjoying the meal like a glutton.
Then Tina made the pizza, and I had 4 slices.
The only thing I didn't do yet, was Oink! ..... That will come later; after the attack on the girl scout cookies.

We don't get a whole lot of cool weather so Mr. Amazing doesn't get his fill of comfort food soup. So, his request was for soup tonight.

Today we had steaks. (( TUBE STEAKS )) Hot dogs!!!
Tina didn't eat, and I just had two with mustard and pickle relish.
Gabe had his usual one (1) , and I made him his 7 sweet potato tots and green beans.

I haven't checked in here for a while, busy. Am making stuffed peppers today. Son and DIL asked for some, other DIL's mother is not well, so I'm making some for them, and I'll have a couple. I think that if you start making them, you might as well make a bunch!

Yeah! Sounds good to make a lot.
When we make them, I eat the pepper, but Tina doesn't. She will eat just the filling. I take her peppers, and wash them off, and refrigerate them. Then in a few days, I will cut and fry them with onions and potatoes sometimes, a few eggs, and we have a great meal. Unbelievably though, she will eat the peppers prepared that way.

We went over to Lyn & Bill's for a pot luck. I took ribs & homemade baked beans. Lyn did pasta salad & dessert of ice cream & mixed fruit and Barb did vegetables & dip.
It was fun to do a meal together after not doing it for quite a while.
And as usual, no one pushed away from the table hungry.
