Chicken Almond Ding sounds good to me! I'm thinkin' a stir fry would be something I could work into a meal one of these days soon ~ don't know what it'll be for sure, but any 'vegetable heavy' stir fry over rice would do. Thanks for the idea!

Just had a pint of pork fried rice...two shrimp egg rolls...

A true funny story:
Years and years ago, circa 1955 to 1957.... My step cousin, ate most of a whole water melon plus the seeds, and she was in pain in her stomach, (It was rare to have a seedless water melon then ), and they had to call an ambulance to take her to the hospital, so they could pump it out of her stomach.
After that, we were all limited as to how much water melon we were given, or allowed to eat.
Mom would say, "Take it easy on the water melon or you'll wind up in the hospital getting your stomach pumped out like Marie did!!"

it is very rare that the watermelon is good.It comes from CA.Just like the rest of the fruit,it is tasteless.I have to salt it.pepper it. Put tomato & or feta to eat it.SC grown fresh..

I did chicken, too, Barb. But I just spatchcocked a whole chicken, tossed some corn on the grill with it and steamed a bunch of broccoli.

Our dinner tonight was a salad with shrimp, avocado, and soft cooked egg, scaloppine and stuffed mushrooms.

I made the salad dressing with:
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
a few minced fresh tarragon leaves
some of the juice squeezed from the orange membrane after I cut out the sections for the salad and
a little salt.
I marinated the shrimp, avocados and onion in the dressing with the lettuce on top for about half an hour then tossed it all together. Egg was added on the side.

Everyones foods look so good...

We are without power since 6 PM and I am running on emergency generator power.
The robot voice at the power company said Power retored by 8:30....but at the rate it's going, it could be tomorrow AM or 830 PM Tomorrow.
I don't care....I got plenty of gas for the generator; at least till Saturday morning if need be.
