The little peach pie was one I made when our neighbor brought me a bunch of 'in-season' Georgia peaches. I left it in the little 4" pie pan, wrapped in plastic and then in HD foil and froze it soon after I baked it. I let it thaw in the refrigerator for a couple days and then, tonight, while we were eating supper, I took it out of the foil pan and placed it on a plate and into the turned-off oven I had heated to bake the potatoes.

By the time it was time for dessert it was warm enough to taste like fresh baked peach pie. I'm really glad I've been hoarding that little pie in the freezer all these months so I could give it to him today.

Boy Oh Boy! ....Tina went way out of her blessed way, to make such a great meatloaf dinner.
Mashed potatoes / and real vegetables! Lots of brown gravy too! ....
Now, she's making soft oatmeal raisin cookies for us.... I can't wait.
What a nice cold day at 7 degrees. We need this cold to kill the germs. ( As mom would say )

And that was one of two helpings for me!!

Tina ate 1/4 of hers, and left the rest!

What a nice 'pay-it-back' gift! Especially for Valentine's Day. You're a good neighbor, Barb. That must be why your neighbors are so good to you.

We went to the neighbor's for an 84th Birthday Celebration. The daughter decided to have a big celebration for her mom, had her brother fly in from Phoenix for the weekend as a surprise for their mom. She had a huge spread of food and drinks.

When we got home I started prepping for our supper, although it should be later than usual since we both ate at the party. I didn't know what I wanted to do with the chicken so I finally said, "Roast It!". I've got onions & carrots in the pan with it now and I've got potatoes baking on the oven rack. I think I've got a little salad leftover so that'll be supper.

That meal looks delicious, Jimmy. I'm real partial to mashed potatoes and was drooling over them. Made me think of that Jacques Pepin recipe Norm recently made, Jacques’s Pommes de Terre Mont d’Or. Boy, that looked good!

And oatmeal raisin cookies are my all-time favorite cookies. Mmmm, especially soft ones. I hope you enjoyed them. You sure got a lovely Valentines Day meal from Tina. It's really tough cooking when you don't feel good, too. You're one lucky man (and she's one lucky woman, too)!

I just bought 5 chickens whole...89c lb at Harris Teeter.I want to spatchcock and grill/smoke..Griller guy said he has a electric smoker that he uses.He also has that huge grill thing too. My smoker is crap lol lol. First off I have one outlet outside and my freezer is plugged in that..Second thing is it does not get great flavor smoke.I have though tto buy a charcoal one BUT seems to much work.I could only use it now. When skeeters are not getting me.SO.I may just forget the whole thing and grill.......

I just finished frying breaded thin sliced pork cutlets. We are having a sweet potato and broccoli.
Tina made awesome split pea and ham soup, and I just had a cup of that. Ummm!
relaxing before we eat, with a crown royal, and ginger ale.
( Thank God ) She put the snow man plates away till next winter season.
We are ready to eat soon, and Tina put out the Corelle dinner plates. Yay!

All three of us spent a miserable night. I made roasted tomato soup and Roomie and DH had terrible reflux all night long. I have got to find something for tonight's dinner that won't come back up at 2 o'clock in the morning. I was miserable because at 11:30 pm is was 75 degrees and windy. I was way too hot in my winter pj's and the wind kept rattling everything. I felt like I had a shot of caffeine and was wired. Strange night. This morning I had a grease bath to ease the itching. It is supposed to hit 90 today and very dry. Because of the hot weather everything is blooming early. So much for the El Nino rains we were hoping for. The drought continues.

I find tomato anything gives me heartburn and gurd..Also when I used to eat burgers,I had it too..

I get night sweats too...Really bad.. I got up this morning and gown was wet..Not great feeling..Thank goodness it is still cool here..

I just bought this medicine. I had reflux last week and one Tbs. in 1/4 cup of orange juice....and the acid reflux was gone in 2 minutes. It never came back either! Amazing stuff!

It is apple cider vinegar with some garlic and something else. I just read the reviews on Amazon. It works for some people and makes others very ill. Vinegary things give me a gut ache so I don't think it is for me. Thanks anyway.

Ginger ! I take a capsule often . I do not like real ginger in anything . Ginger is great for motion sickness ! It works great .

Yep! to each their own. I can't stand vinegar on anything. But the apple cider vinegar actually is more alkaline to the body.
My DIL puts white vinegar on pop corn. Blah! And DD's boyfriend, pours it on his potato salad! .... Thats like putting salt on water melon .
