Dane's sister is visiting for a couple days. Tonight I made some grilled/BBQ wings (Jimmy safe ~ check out those wing tips! Pure Charcoal !!), Southern creamed corn (so I could show Cheryle how to make it) and more of the sliced tomatoes....so good.

What happened to the smoked turkey?

It's been raining all day. We decided to go out for pulled pork sliders and fried dill pickles.

Once you get the charcoal started and the bird on the grill....put on the lid and leave it alone. A little rain won't bother it.

(Also another good reason to use a gas grill to smoke your bird.....)

He doesn't want beef. He doesn't want pork. What does that leave me with as an option for supper??? (You only get one guess.....)

It really was project to do.PIA really.i am just not withit with smoking.Guess I need to just do it more.In ..out..in..out.Dogs drove me nuts having to see what was going on & right under my feet.

It really is much easier to smoke on the electric smoker.When it stops raining I may smoke something in it.

I've got all the bones/scraps from yesterday's grilled chicken simmering away to make stock.

Chicken salad ready for supper.

NOW he tells me he's getting tired of chicken.....

guess tomorrow will be saltines and ice water.

I am planning to make chicken parmesan on Wed so I got a whole chicken and cut it up. I decided to improvise something and stuffed the boneless wings, thighs and legs with Stove top and bake them. After stuffing, it rubbed each piece with oil and salted them and baked at 450 for 45 minutes. Charlie said they were really good and Cassie said they were her new favorite chicken.

I also steamed some broccoli and then tossed them with a little mozzarella and butter. We also had some corn relish that I got at the Farmers market a couple days ago.

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner !

Very interesting, Norm. I rarely want to take the trouble to bone out the chicken thighs & legs ~ but it's the best tasting meat on the bird!

I've got to remember that one.
