There was a recipe in the KC Star for pork chops with a sauce made with cranberry sauce, apple sauce and maple syrup. The recipe was from a BBQ hall of fame member. I tried light versions of potato salad and slaw but they were too light for my taste so I added a little mayo to each.

Looks Mighty Good Norm. How did the pork chops taste with the maple syrup for flavor?

They were good. they were thick too. They stayed juicy because they were brined but after 9 minutes per side on the grill, we had to finish them in the microwave.

Oh what a simple making and tasting dinner I made tonight.
I call it "Pasta Soup" .....

Plain boiled pasta ( I used shells this time, and some wide Dutch noodles ). Save 1/3 of the boiled water; add salt and a tbs. of butter.
I ate three bowls, and drank the salted buttery juice. Ohhhhh, SOoooo Good!
Tina had a 1/2 cup. She had pumpkin seeds for dessert; and I had Malted Milk Balls.

It's warm outside. 54 degrees. I hate it when it is nice and cool, and then warms up like overnight! Grrrrrrr!

I now have PORK Packaging Duty! ....I have to mix 12 lbs. ground pork....1/2 lean, and 1/2 a little on the fatter side, and then put them in freezer bags in 1 lb. portions.
