I have a Mac desktop and there is very little if any set up needed. To set up most stuff all you have to do is plug it in.

Barb. Tinas cell phone camera does that too. She doesn't realize it, but the camera setting is on Burst! .....What that does, is it takes like a bunch of pics
one after the other within a couple seconds. Like frames in a movie film.
As far as deleting them???? don't know!...

I have a Mac Laptop. All I did was put it on sign on, answer a couple of questions, set it up to my modem--just the password and I am all set to go.. took me all of 5 minutes, not even......

Macs are expensive, but they are the easiest to operate. The support is awesome! They do have classes for more in-depth stuff, but you would need to go to the store for that.

It is worth traveling to the Apple Store. The salespeople are all o knowledge, at least in my experience. If they do not know, they are quick to look into it and find someone who does.

I am an Apple person.

I was watching Bizarre Food and he was actually showing "normal" foods. One of the dishes was the Swiss version of mac & cheese. It had a name that I couldn't repeat if I tried. I started looking for a recipe on the web and came across this site for European recipes by country. Thought I would post it because someone might be interested in a look-see.

"HE" has been talking about trying the zucchini 'spaghetti' he sees advertised with the 'Veggetti' julienne slicer. Well, low and behold, I ran across a generic 'Veggetti' slicer at Aldi for $1.99. No way was I going to spend $9.99 for the 'As-Seen-On-TV' model. But, $2....why not? LOL

So, I spiralized five little green zucchini, wasn't difficult at all, nor did it take much time. There would be about 2" waste from each but I trimmed the ends and I'll use them in a frittata or something for my lunch next week.

Dinners in January, 2016 - Page 14 IMG_20160123_165156014_HDR

I heated up a container of my homemade marinara w/beef and then started to saute the zucchini strands. I salted it a bit and that seems to be wrong because the salt (IMO) pulled tons of water out of the veg. I added a lid to let it steam to soften it and then ended up draining off as much of the water as I could.

Finally, I added about half the heated marinara to the softened 'spaghetti' and continued to let it cook and get a bit softer.

I finished it off by putting half in each of two bowls, adding the rest of the marinara and a sprinkle of purchased grated parmesan. He ate his whole bowl, asked if there was any more (I don't know if he was still hungry or if he liked it......).

Happily, Tina was up at 7:15 this am, and she mixed the meat for meatloaf tonight.
She made a white cake, with butter cream icing.
Then she made mac and cheese.

We so far got 22 inches of snow here in the area, and snowing heavily and steady with white out conditions.

And you have all the pellets you need for the stove, right?  Stay in the house.  No need to shovel because if you do Tina will find a reason to go out on the roads......and she needs to stay put!  Safe and sound in the house!

It looks like a funeral home at showing in my house right now. Dane has brought in all the pots of plants from the patio....geesh, they didn't look THAT BIG when they were out by the courtyard walls! He's getting ready to set ladders over the lemon tree and the Angel Trumpet plant. He thought he could take my spare room summer bed throw out to use to cover the plants but I directed him to some others in the linen closet.

OMG! I just watched the strangest, funny documentary. You just can't make these things up. It was called "Finders, Keepers". It is a true story about a man who was in a plane crash and lost his leg. Somehow he kept the leg and stored it in his smoker. I almost choked. This was around 2007 in North or South Carolina. It is worth a watch if you like strange, quirky stories.
I am now on my way to Wal Mart to get some things for dinner. Beef stroganoff I think.

Oh! We are hunkered down. We can't get out as it is. 24 inches of the white stuff. DD will be here tomorrow to shovel, and get us out. The neighbor helps out too!

Yeah! Get those plants protected!.....

We have a hanging plant that we rescued, and the thing is hanging at the top of the staircase. It's huge. I was gonna cut and trim it, but the last time I did Jimmy the Botanist surgery, a plant bled this white slippery fluid from the cuts.

Tina was NOT happy!

I made another pan-fried chicken breast tonight......added some Stovetop and a big sheet pan of roasted cauliflower-broccoli-carrots-onions. I figure the large serving of vegetables somehow negates the effects of the Stovetop that I was yearning. LOL ((I can rationalize anything I want to eat!))
