It looked just fine to me, Beth! Now that our oven is fixed (finally!!), Brian and I have been thinking of making lasagna, too. If I don't make it soon, I won't make it at all since warmer weather will be upon us before you know it. Instead of the usual way I make it with ground beef, I've decided to make a big batch of marinara sauce, and then cook my browned meatballs and Italian sausage in the sauce. Then I'm going to make the lasagna the regular way except I'll serve the meatballs and Italian sausage on the side. A friend of mine makes it this way and it turns out really good, especially since you can add a lot more of the sauce to the casserole pan when the meat isn't in it.
My father used to like when I made lasagna with Italian sausage instead of ground meat (I'd take the sausage out of the casing). This is when I still lived at home. Years later (my dad died early, at 61 years of age), I told Brian how he liked that kind of lasagna and sure enough, Brian asked me to make it like that so he could try it. He, too, really liked that version as well. But he doesn't care which version I make, just as long as I make it...

Did you smoke it or did your 'smoker neighbor' do it for you? Looks really good.

Barb, what kind of smoker do you have? That brisket looks sooooo good!
Last night we had steaks, baked potato and grilled artichokes. We ate while watching the Oscars which was so bad that I don't know if I will watch it again. Chris Rock turned the show into a political rant and when he introduced the "white" orchestra conductor he made a very vulgar comment about the man getting "laid". I was so disgusted that they would even allow such a thing.

Upper respiratory infection, probably viral. Nothing to do but wait it out. And, yes, I did cough hard enough to give myself a small hernia. OMG ~ my 'Inny' is kind of an 'Outy'. Crap.
When I got home I warmed up the leftover stir fry for myself and Dane made himself a Greek salad.
I didn't even feel like eating. All I really want to do is crawl back into bed and sleep.
So I think that's just what I'll do.
