Have you noticed any changes in the store since they were bought by Kroger?

Never been to a Kroger. But if and when I ever get to move a Harris Teeter is a must. Folks seem to like Wegmens, never been to one. Fresh Market when I lived in WNC,have not been to one since.

I have not shopped in Bilo Evil or Very Mad Or The Pig or OVERPRICED Publix. Will not make the drive to TJ.

The only decent store near my DS in Del was a safeway.Nice store. He drives 45 minutes to go a HT..lol..Loves the store..

Finally.... Ms. Tina went to the Dr. for her cold that is in her lungs and won't let go. I know she has either pneumonia or an upper respiratory infection.

I didn't get to bed until 4:30 am this morning. She was coughing, and I could not sleep listening to that hacking!....
I got the shop vac and tools, and cleaned the pellet stove in the living room. Fired up the stove, and Ahh! .... nice 75 degrees in the living room! Great for keeping warm when she has the chills.

It's chilly outside. 26ยบ out now.

Barb, those huge shrimps look really fresh....can't wait to see what you come up with.

I'm reheating the last of the pork & sauerkraut. It's cool so a nice warm meal is sounding good.

Sure hope Tina gets some meds to knock that out of her pronto. She is on the go so much....you ought to duct tape her in her recliner for a couple days and make her stay put.

Looks Good Barb... What is that? Fried Okra??

Tina got her antibiotics today. Doc said same conditions are coming in on people for day's now.
What is weird, is she has swollen glands in the neck????
I just made her jello. I ate bean and bacon soup. Canned stuff.
It was good!

I guess it will be toast and tea for Tina mommy when she gets up.

Swollen glands means there is infection somewhere. The antibiotics hopefully will knock it out. Tell Tina she has my sympathies. Did the Doc give her some codeine cough medicine. That stuff knocks out the cough and knocks you on your butt. LOL.

I know she has thyroid stuff that I think is the hyper kind. I think?

But no...the side glands. I don't notice it, but the Dr felt it.

She's resting now. I will be her nurse. LOL

Yep! The Dr said the same thing. She gave her CEFDINIR 300 MG
AND HYDROCODONE cough syrup! It knocked her out!

Yeah, when I get a cough I take vicodine (sp?)......most people take it for pain but I take it to stop a cough immediately. Had a tough time convincing my last doc to prescribe for a cough but when HE got sick from his patients and couldn't control his cough, he tried it. After that he gave me a script any time I asked. The pills don't knock you out like the liquid cough medicine does. It just stops the cough for me.

But now I only take it when I just cannot stand it another minute with an uncontrolable cough. Turns out I've become alergic to the stuff and I start to itch within about 20 minutes of taking it.

I am allergic to amoxicillin but no other cillins. I start to itch and get a rash. Took 6 months for it to go away.

I just saw the funniest commercial for Burger King. There are two old people sitting at a counter and the old man is talking about his chicken sandwich. The old lady says something like "Would you just eat it! I'm getting old over here". He says "You got old a long time ago, believe me". It is too funny.

codeine suppresses a cough. Tylenol with codeine helps.

I know this isn't food related but I thought it was funny and you (if you remember the song) might find it amusing.

I have a chuck roast defrosting.....invited two neighbor ladies (single) because I figure they don't fix pot roast for themselves.

Also going to make an apple crostada for dessert.....

Dessert??? WooHoo! Been months and months since I made a dessert for us to eat!

Don't know what I'm looking forward to more ~ friends to enjoy a good pot roast supper or dessert after a good meal???

LOL

I have got a pot roast defrosting too. We are going to have rain for 4 days and it sounded like great comfort food.

I thought a pot roast sounded good, so I've put one on too. Cassie said the only thing about the pot roast I make that she doesn't like is that I don't put enough potatoes and carrots in so I am using the big crock pot this time and added extra potatoes and carrots. i also added some celery root.
