I had one lonely tomato sitting out so today was BLT Lunch Day!

I saw a cucumber I had forgotten about purchasing when I went to get the lettuce from the refrigerator so now I have a nice snack of leftover cucumber/onion salad.

I made yeast raised waffle batter early this AM, and around 10:00, we had Belgian Waffles, I made some fried bacon for Tina, and pork breakfast sausages for me.
Gabe had frozen blueberries on his with syrup.

Think I might make a English muffin loaf . I like Thomas but they scam you with the odd shape. Bottom nice. Top small.

A lot of times, the market has a special on Thomas'. Buy One, and Get Two free. !!!!! .... When she came home with three, I flipped and said,"Who the Heck is gonna eat all those?" .... Then when she said 3 for the price of 1, I could not believe it.

The kids don't want them (diets) and we usually freeze one and give one to the neighbor.

A tip (always works for us) is any bread / baked cakes etc. that you want to freeze and extend the life beyond that month period, Just wrap whatever with a layer of aluminum foil first, then in a baggie etc. It stops the freezer burn and drying out.

Same with peppers or celery that we refrigerate i the crisper drawer. A wrap of foil and celery or peppers stay fresh for 2 weeks. Usable after the third week too! Foil is great for reflecting heat and heat loss.

the best I can find here on the Thomas English Muffins is BOGO....and at $4.29 each, that's the ONLY way I'll buy them. When I need to stock up on bread I go to the Entemann's Outlet Store (I call it the 'scratch & dent' store) and they usually carry the Thomas brand. Pick 'em up for $1.25 each there, same as most loaves of bread.

Today for lunch I had a braunschwieger sandwich....Miracle Whip, Lettuce, Yellow Mustard & lots of thin sliced onion piled up.

So who's suddenly hungry for one?

I made my first Japanese omelet yesterday, and some cheese quesadilla, I just stocked up bunch of shredded cheese, for $2.99/lbs, they were on weekly sale, the normal price was more than $4/lbs cheers

I also added some cheese on my omelet, I sweated my chopped onion, red bell pepper, chili pepper and green onion before I added them in my egg
