How did it suddenly get to be July ????

It seems like it was just the first of June yesterday.....

I almost feel guilty mentioning our weather has been on the cool side...rained a cold rain most of the day.

So I pulled a package of cabbage rolls out of the freezer. Normally I would take them and let them thaw in the refrigerator for a day or two. They are packed with sauce in the little "to go" foil pans, 4 to a pan. But since I didn't decide until this morning I was going to cook them I just put the foil pan in a serving dish and added water to come up the sides. By early afternoon it was thawed and then I just left it out until it was time to go into the oven.

Supper was cabbage rolls, boiled potatoes and some microwaved broccoli. The GS ended up having left over pot roast and just 1/2 a cabbage roll. I was happy he decided to give it a try...but the pot roast had carrots and gravy....which would you have chosen ? LOL

Tina made me a Taylor Ham and egg on a english muffin for breakfast!
Supper was Mrs. T's frozen pierogies. I had mine fried a little in butter, and ate them (Cool with sour cream and hot peppers.
DD ate them plain.

Dessert was granola bars, and a peanut bar. The wrappers say nature on them, so being from the lod school of interpretation, I figure they are good for the body! pig

I did not cook today.. my DH went out with  a friend to a hardware store and ended up having lunch at a Mexican restaurant.. so I had to eat alone, I did not cook, I made a scramble egg, added some of my leftover chow mien then added a handful of fresh salad mix.. gave them a quick stir... it turned out so good.. the salad mix was still a bit crunchy

Imelda, Can't beat the "Incredible; Edible Egg!"

So many things can be made to eat from eggs.
I like a fried egg with hot peppers, and then fry the cheese till it gets browned. On Toast, or with a little pieces on crackers...it is so good!

Picture of the food looks good. The pic though, is like some of mine that come out. The lighting over the island in the kitchen has a pinkish tint on the bulbs. They call it Soft Light. It makes my pictures come out with a reddish hue to them. I have to fix them sometimes.

Barbara see if this looks different?? I took the hue out a little. Same like with mine sometimes.
Natural daylight is better for me! But this lazy *ss is not taking food out on the porch just to get its picture took! hahahahahahahahaha

Jimmy that pic looks so much better. Wink I do take most of the plate's outside.I sure can see the big difference when it is taken in the wrong light.

I also noticed when my battery is low towards the end, I take pics with the flash and all that, but everyone was red with a redish surrounding area. I was like WTHeck!!!

Tina and sometimes I don't wait for the camera to auto-focus. I explained to Tina (God Love Her ) this is not your 1952 Brownie or the throw away one use cameras. You have to hit the button slightly, and wait for the beep, and then press the shutter button all the way to take the picture.

80% of her pics are Out Of Focus.
I could program a setting that maintains constant focus as the camera is swung close and far and in between, but that uses the lens focus motor; which wears the battery down quickly!
It's like the cell phones or the new iphones today. The more info stored in the memory, the quicker the battery dicharges. The phone is always searching for a signal, and with all the applications people have on their phone...it draws current to keep the memory alive and working.
I wait till I get like 12 messages, and then I delete all the storage calls.
Tina does too now. She's a waiter. She waits till she has one bar, and then when it flips off, she cries.."This phone is a piece of dirt! " hahahahahahaha

I am now a closet eater of peanut butter.I give both my girls their meds with a finger full of PB.I can not eat nuts or PB if they are within smelling range.

I was watching my PBS masterpiece theater from Sunday night on my office pc.(big screen monitor) decided to eat some peanuts. Both of them tried for a hour to jump in my lap.. After the nuts ...

OMG that is so funny! It's like when Tina sits down to eat, her little boy Chestnut (she calls him that the cat, but he is huge ) and he starts to cry, and beg and he will open and slam the cabinet where his foodie is kept. And he was just fed! hahahahaha

Another funny, is that Finger Lump of peanut butter. I always look and ask,"Who was the last one to finger dunk!" LOL.
I just knife it out, but I will have to always place it on my finger! LOL Just to get that Kids Satisfaction. Big KID I mean!

lol thanks Jimmy. talk about one pan cooking.I dumped the apple in,, then the chops. sauted till they looked done. moved them to one side then fried the sauerkraut,all in one skillet.

If you make the stuffed cabbage then you'll be the third one since I made them yesterday....lol

Tonight I made BLT's....did a bacon weave of 3 slices of bacon, sliced in half and woven together like a child's potholder. I baked the bacon planks on a rack and just reheated in the microwave before it was time to eat. I also made some potato salad to fill Mr. Amazing up.

Thanks Barbara. Yeah, Tina makes em really good. She uses all ground pork, and the cooked rice.
I don't like em with a lot of sauce, but she was making them for her Uncle to keep in his freezer in portions. He has missing teeth, and need everything soft and wet to chew and swallow.
Actually, I like them with just sliced canned tomatoes, and then baked in the oven.

Tina has a knack to making them too. They are always moist and held together well.

My mom would be cooking and frying stuff, and she would put some on the corner of the table and say. "Now let these here, and watch them so they cool off, and so nobody steals them!" ...LOL We would sneak up and eat whatever she would set out.
Mom was like a fox. She knew we were not eating enough meat, so to get us to eat it, she would play those little games.
