Steak was on sale. Regular price for three strip steaks was $42, at the register they rang it up for 21. Made some of Jimmy's Chili for the baked potatoes, also had mushrooms, sour cream, bacon bits, and blue cheese for toppings. The corn was adapted from a local BBQ restaurant. It had some Nacho cheese in it.

Yes .. zucchini and red peppers and heirlooms..splash of some great EVOO I bought.

I also grilled some eggplant and shallots..

I made Ina Garten's seafood chowder. I thought the stock was missing something so I added a pinch of red pepper flakes and a pinch of saffron. They loved it and there were no leftovers.

I just looked at the recipe. Lots of work lol.

Actually it wasn't really much work. The hardest part was removing the shrimp shells.

I am watching the news and I see gas has hit $5.79/gal in some places. If this keeps up I will have to invest in one of those 3-wheel electric old fart scooters.

HA Beth has one only it has 4 wheels.They are not allowed on streets here except in certain areas.

I sure am one..I want all sorts of old fart things..shower seat. hand rails in the bathroom(tub) higher toilet lol.Not going to long till I have someone come clean ..I have been looking for a stool to sit on in the kitchen that has wheels.Not to the stage to use a shopping cart yet..lol.

I am an old fart. I am to the point that if I could afford to go to Disneyland, I would have to rent one of their electric scooters 'cause I couldn't do all of that walking and standing. The last time we went, about 3 years ago, it was so unpleasant that we had to leave after 2.5 hours. It was hot and every single bit of shade was filled to the brim with strollers. There was no place to get out of the heat. $300+ down the toilet. I even contacted Disney and they were not the least apologetic, nor did they offer a refund. I remember a time when I was in high school when I went to Disneyland on a night where it was closed to the general public. It was so bizarre. I remember standing in the middle of Tomorrow Land and not seeing anyone else. You could walk right on to any ride because there were no lines. Now that is the way to go to Disneyland!
DH and Roomie are going kayaking today. They wanted me to go but there is no way. That type of sport holds no interest for me. I would paddle 10 feet and get winded then somehow wind up tipped upside down and drown because I couldn't get out of the hole. So, no cooking tonight for me unless I want to eat.

Oh Chit! They are turning the power off today. I can't cook even if I wanted to.

Wow ~ that came out really nicely! Pre-grilling the vegetables must have removed enough of the excess water that it stayed layered and it doesn't look mushy at all.

Thank you.I even added evoo to it too. Parm and panko. Baked for 25 minute,then I let it cool before cutting..

I will be eating this for 3 days lol.

Yes Jimmy eggplant. I grilled bunch of veggies the other morning.I posted photo already.
