Speaking of ham, the one I got this year is from Carando, spiral sliced hickory smoked. It was the best ham I have had in a long time. I have a friend in New Jersey who says it is the only brand she gets.

Ddn't feel like eating today either.
Mary left at 12:00 and we gave her the 5 slices of pizza left over from last night'
Today I was ready to thaw some ground beef for burgers, and Tina says,"Uh, Do we really want burgers?"
"How about we have them tomorrow, and Please Please, would you make a pizza pie?"
Okay! I said... I had dough in the reefer, and sauce. So....Tina got her wish!
And here she is, with her Paper Shovel ......she really enjoyed it!

When we buy spiral ham, we get that brand too!
We also get the salami and specialty meats. I love the hard salami!
BTW Norm... How did you fare the storm? Boy! That was some tornado storms that passed through your area. Hope you roped down the BBQ Grill and smoker!

Green peppers I love, but they gas me up too!...also, I had a beer with my pizza too!
I'm not a drinker... ( was; been there; done that ) but I do enjoy a beer, or two with pizza.
The other day, I had two nice Crown Royal Black with Ginger ale. Boy , they went down so smooth, and on a empty stomach...they hit home. I was ready for a nappy ....or....another drink! hahahaha Only thing is, I have to watch they don't mix with my medications.

Jimmy, I went to the Overland Park Farmer's market yesterday morning. As soon as I got on the highway it started raining so hard I could hardly see. I thought about turning around and going back but I was also going to the fountain pen collectors meeting after the farm market so I went ahead. After the market, there is a store right near there that specializes in vinegars and oils. I got a butter infused olive oil and pineapple/ balsamic vinegar. By the time I got out of the store it had stopped raining.
When I got back home, there was not much evidence of rain. I had left a bag of charcoal outside and it was dry.
It rained hard today too but I was unaware of any tornado warnings. We live in the most southern suburb of Kansas City and the tornados must have gone north of us.

Good! Thank god no damage was done.
I remember one year...oh about 1991 / 1992...we had a small cat 2 tornado come through the valley where we live, and it actually sucked up and took with it, a 35 foot tall maple tree with a 16 inch diameter trunk, and I had the kids swing tied onto one of the branches. My daughter called, and said the house shook, and when it left the area, the sun came out, and she said, Daddy two trees are gone. I told her to stay inside the house, and I sped home from work. She took video's of the damage right after the storm.
The insurance man came, and said it wasn't a tornado. I said<"Well, where the heck is my tree???
He said, it was blown away with a wind gust. Yeah! and what huff and puff blew down the 65 foot oak tree?? I got 900.00 for the pool, and the 500.00 for the other oak tree damage and tree removal, came off my 500.00 deductable. At least I was lucky enough to burn the wood the next year in my wood stove.
Those tornado's can be some very scary stuff. WE looked all over town for that maple tree, and it was know where to be found. Strannnge!

Good thing no one was hurt. Even though I live in the land of Dorothy and Toto and there have been entire towns leveled, I have never been affected by one other than clearing a few tree limbs once or twice.

I get email ads from PF Chang's Restaurant and when I saw one this morning I thought of their chicken lettuce wraps. That appetizer is reason enough to visit the restaurant.
But, there's no PF Chang's close to us so I decided to make my own....not a true replica of the restaurant's offering, but good enough for us. I even made some sticky rice because that sounded good, too.
