I love the large Avatars! Easier for me to see without squinting, which I do all the time when it's a photo of the person.

I remember on the old c.Com...when Beth was on line, all alone, and posting.

She had said something to the effect... ( " Darn,... It's almost like a Beth / Barb forum" ) ... It was just one of those times when everyone was busy with springs arrival or something like that! LOL ..

Oh, boy, don't I remember that well, Jimmy!

It was like EVERYONE was busy with other stuff and Barb and I were the only ones posting for a couple days (seemed like forever when you're the only one there....). Well, we were racking our brain to come up with interesting subjects to try to peek members' interest and get some conversations going. Finally, in frustration, I posted I was going to contact the admin at cooking.com and ask them to change the name to "cookingwithbeth.com" and then everyone would have to call me "Queen Beth".

It was all meant in jest and, quite honestly, it DID get some members who had been lurking to actually jump in and get some conversations going. What was sad was a couple old time members who didn't get the joke and thought I was being bossy or pushy. When I got a "pm" from one I answered that it was simply my "funny" way of prodding some to join in. I don't think they laughed. LOL

And you don't want to know some of the titles I suggested when Barb emailed me to ask, "If you had your own forum, what would you call it?"

But I think Barb and I are very happy we settled on "Cooking Friends" because that's the way we think this forum will be.

So, thanks, Jimmy and everyone for dropping in.

Crybaby ~ we're glad you like our choice of titles....we actually put some thought and conversation into our decision. Since we planned on sending out invitations, we thought the title was appropriate.

We just wanted to have a fun place to interact and talk about what we all love.....and sharing a laugh or two along the way ain't a bad thing!
