I was checking things out on Pinterest and saw an idea I can remember from the 1980's or so.....salad stored in a mason jar so you could make the salads ahead and have them ready for any day of the week.
Now they have changed some of the ingredients but its basically the same idea. I saw mention about Weight Watchers points so maybe it's now part of the WW program, IDK.
The basic idea is you put your salad dressing in the bottom of the jar and then the firmer vegetables like carrots, cabbage, celery, etc., then you stuff in your lettuce in the top and put on the lid.
When it's time to eat your salad is ready to eat and all you have to do is drop it in a bowl and toss to mix. The variety is endless and by chopping and prepping 3 or 4 salads at a time to store in the refrigerator you're more likely to include the salads in your menu.
