I'm gonna go to the CRAB FEST !!! I'm so excited. Fresh cooked crabs and all that other 'terrible-for-you' foods. Gotta love it!

OK... now it started to be a hot dog fest here with Son Jimmy and DIL, and they are in Long Beach Island today, and are stopping at this place that makes Jalepeno hot dogs for us to try, and have.
DD said she will be too busy at the farm; with too much work to be done.
Feed corn has to go in the ground, and fences need repair because a pig and a sheep got loose the last week.

But Now.... all of a sudden she is coming on the celebration day (Monday).
She brought three big rack of pork ribs and a rack of Goat Ribs...
I said,"Who the heck is gonna eat that? She said,
Oh! We love them.... I told her, "YOU will take all these leftovers back home, and if you don't want them, you can feed it to the pigs!"

Now! We are also having burgers / sausage / kielbasi and kraut / baked beans / salads / etc.

A simple hot dog wiener roast, and now it's a major picnic.

And guess who the cook is elected to be?.... Grrrrrrrrr!!!

Oh, come on, Jimmy. You know what an honor it is to be head chef.....besides, if someone else did all the cooking they couldn't complain to you about anything.

LOL

Have a great time with it!

I'm doing the best I can looking through one eye, but it tires me out
The eye socket in the left dead eye hurts from strain trying to figue out what the heck happened.

With three big racks of pork ribs and a rack of goat ribs...them suckers are going in the oven low and slow.

They are soaking in a salt and brown sugar brine all afternoon in a huge pot.
In a while...I will add the rub and honey, and let them chill in the reefer downstairs overnight.
They will go in the oven at 235º at 10 AM tomorrow.....eating around 5 - - 530.

haaaaaa...there will be a lot of pork next couple years. DD had a litter from hers, and last week Lenny's gave birth to 7.

And the chickens won't stop laying... It's like there is no tomorrow....they fill the egg trough full every day. hahahahaha......

Like you said....There ain't nothing as great as fresh eggs.

deviled eggs, egg salad, creamed eggs, eggs for breakfast, eggs for lunch, eggs for supper......just don't let the cholesterol docs get wind of it!

My son-in-law eats a ton of egg white scrambles, 6 to 8 at a time. I know Andrea buys dozens of eggs each week when he's on his protein diet kick. Doesn't bother them to toss all the yolks.

YIKES! Feet don't fail me now. Yes, go to the doctor. Prolly should have a CAT scan to see if you did have a mini. Ladies sometimes have them when they go to the hairdresser. Bending the head backwards over the washbowl sometimes causes a bit of plaque to break loose and cause a mini. I wonder if you had your head and neck bent while working under the car.

Geepers bugs... forgive me, I used Barbs name to answer to you.
That's because this darn patch on the eye makes me see funny and with bad depth perception.....

Yes...the neck as you mentioned...I was in a sideways and neck stretching position, and trying to drill a hole in the metal bracket I fabricated. Straining like heack, and I did pull my neck...and felt a crook in the muscle that's adjacent to the carotid artery. Plus my left shoulder attached to the neck.
That is when I got a little dizzy, and came out to rest a bit. I thought perhaps it was vertigo which I get once in a while. But I felt OK after a 5 minute break just standing up. I crawled back under to finish drilling the hole, and screwed the bolt in.
I cleaned up the tools etc. and took the car down off the jack stands.
15 minutes later...Tina drove in with the rental car and I said...let's take that car back..your car is all done.
Driving the car over to the rental was when I really got disoriented and I couldn't see good. I was seeing two of everything. LOL

But You hit the nail on the head Bugs,....and as a matter of factmy neck is still a little tender, but not sore like it was. I was in pain in my neck for like three days. I took advil to alleviate the pain.

I feel so badly for you, Jimmy! I hope you didn't overdo it yesterday. Sometimes, like Barbara said, it's hard for kids to know when they're asking too much of you. I know you love it but when you're hurting like that, especially the eyes, ears or anything with ones head, it's really difficult to function normally.

You're in my prayers.

Thank you for your concern Cyn.
God bless you !

Yeah! ....You are right. The kids are young, like we used to be. They don't realize, we want to have them for everything. We always included our kids, and even had given them before we would give to ourselves.

But now that we are older, we enjoy meals, but on a simpler way.

DD...she's 36, came over, and started decorating with patriotic items.
Steamers and lights and the works. That was ok, but them she brings over 4-1/2 big racks of pork ribs, and this ugly rack of goat ribs... I said, Dolly...Whe the heck is gonna eat all this? she said..."...Hungry...WE'LL EAT THEM.!

DIL and Son Jimmy brought 6 big regular dogs and 6 jalepeno hot dogs.
6 huge jalepeno burgers... that I had to cut in half because they were 1/3 pound each. then 4 chicken burgers...Now keep in mind...I had prepped and chilled 12 regular (Prime Burgers)...and I had a pack of all beef dogs. We don't like all meat or all pork dogs. We only eat all beef hot dogs.
The dogs they purchased were all meat from a German Butcher shoppe.
I only had one hot dog. I was burping them all night.

Now, last week this was supposed to me a "Oh Dad, we'll just do dogs and burgers on the grill!" .... Yeah! Right!.

BTW... we do all the holidays and celebrations here; because we have the room.

We are OK with that! ..>. To tell the truth, Tina couldn't wait till DD left yesterday. It just became too much. She is a good kid, and cleans up and puts everything away, but WE GET STUCK...with all the leftovers.
They are Too Lazy to load the stuff and put it in their cars.

I could have fed two lions with the leftovers.

DS is 45, and he will say,"You and Mom should get out of the house, and go to a game or into NYC and enjoy the sights!" .... Yeah! Right! and who is gonna carry us?...hahahahahahaha We been there; done that!...Enough Already!..LOL

Anyway, Tina and I are just taking it easy today...doing little things to put this place back to normal and (Quietness) hahahahaha
