Rainy days and Tuesdays always get me down.....

After a wetter than normal June and July, August has been very dry. Our region could certainly use a good soaking. But the dark and dreary skies make me want to curl up under a blanket and just go to sleep. I wonder if I suffer from that S.A.D. disorder? Could be that or I'm just trying to come up with an excuse to not do the things I planned to accomplish today....

well my day started at 5AM. Next door kid,she must have the bedroom at the back side of house,like I do.I don't know what the heck she was doing in that bathroom but ghezz, banging & slamming.Then more slamming. Then the slam of the front door.She must have had a mad on. I have never heard any noise from next door like that. Bus comes at 6am. I don't even hear it, this morning I did.

Nah, Beth. That's exactly what a dark and dreary day SHOULD make you feel like. I like to grab a book, sit in a comfy chair to read and then promptly fall asleep. It's what everyone who's working WANTS to do when they're at work and it's that kind of day.

Personally, I love overcast days even if we never get any rain -- it means the A/C can get a rest!!!

Well, it cleared up. The wind kicked up a bit. So I took advantage of the breeze and washed some clothes that could be hung on the line.

With a good breeze all the wrinkles blow out and then no iron is needed.

And they smell so good, too!

With our humidity, we rarely dry anything outside except like a bath mat or something like that which we hang in the sun. Stuff would take forever to dry here. We NEVER handwash sweaters, as it's summer before they dry...

I will miss my clothesline when I move for good. DD complains about how much the electric bill is but she has NEVER considered hanging clothing out on the line instead of throwing it in the electric dryer. About the only thing I won't hang out is our skivvies......as you can imagine why.

(Got THAT image in your head for a while now.......hahahahahahaha ha!)

I saw one of those dust storms on the news last night....nasty. I would think anyone with breathing difficulty would be in trouble if they ventured out in it. Stay safe inside!
