Portobello mushroom put to use..

Clever.....I've seen that done but usually just eat mine all cut up.

The porta bellas are wonderful grilled with a brush of Italian salad dressing ~ sometimes I take th gills off so it's not falling all over my plate.

actually I am not a fan of mushrooms.
I only buy the small button ones.One carton too. Sometimes I end up throwing some out with just that.

I was surprised how meaty & mild these are.I might have to stuff them with crab & other things.spinach,cheese etc.

using a spoon to pull out the dark gill area does keep them very neat for stuffing...

I think with the gills removed they are less prone to filling with the moisture, although they still are about 99% moisture...
