I am old school and still have AOL.lol..What is better ? Or should I just stick with it.

If and when I get new lap top,I can change all that right? I want a new screen name too. But have been thinking on one till I am fed up..The one I have is so long and I hate typing it out..I do not want to use my name either.???

You can set anything as your home page. I use Internet Explorer (talk about 'old school'....) and MSN comes up as my home page ~ just because I've been using it forever and I know how to find everything.

Dane uses Chrome and his home page is AOL.

I set him up with a different browser because he kept screwing up my stuff when he tried to change my home page from MSN to AOL.....drove me nuts.

I don't have my computer set up so I need to log in ~ it was set by my computer guy to just come up by itself. My old company computer had to be logged on with your password, even when the thing did a 'restart' when it did automatic updates. PITA

So, go get a new computer and get someone to set it up the way you want it. Write down everything you want it to do, like user name, etc. that you can think of so it all gets done the way you want it. That way you won't have to go back again and again.

Barb, it depends on what your operating system is; as in Comcast, Verizon..If you sign up for an internet cable subscription, then they have their own home page. You can use that or if you prefer, you can get a different one as in: AOL, Chrome, Firefox, Yahoo, MSN, etc

When You sign up for an internet cable, you can set it up for what ever name you want; ex: johnsmith@comcast.net or jsmith@verizon.com.....

Or you can set it up with google Chrome: jsmith@google.com...

That is all I use. I have Comcast as my provider but I have accounts at Comcast, Hotmail (MSN) and Yahoo....

If you get a Windows enabled device, I think it automatically has MSN as it's browser....

Personally, I have a Mac--have Safari as my browser, but have an internet account with Comcast. I have the Comcast account and I do have an Apple account also, which I do not use...
