Ice cream roll?

It may be just me but I don't ever see them anymore in the freezer section.
so I am guessing chocolate sponge cake with vanilla ice cream..???

I've done it with a vanilla sponge cake and chocolate ice cream.

Personally, I like ice cream sandwiches made with my favorite oatmeal, raisin, & walnut cookies and ice cream smushed between a couple. Easy do ahead, wrapped in plastic wrap.

Of course, it's nothing I would make a lot of and store in a large Tupperware container in my big upright freezer.....

I've made them. Actually I had them in a kids class a few years ago. We did the chocolate cake with various filling flavors.

The only thing I don't like about them is that the cake can be so tender, that sometimes it cracks...but it sure is yummy.
