Oh my.. it's a new month again.. Shocked  time flies like arrow.. woosh woosh

I cooked this bean soup with Italian sausage, 1 big pot, and served 3 times.. when I heated it, I took out some, heated and added some veggies each time, with chopped broccoli, last night we ate it with some kale, and 1 cup of cooked Spanish rice..

Mr. What's-His-Name asked if I planned to cook broccoli soup any time soon. Intuitive he is NOT. I was in the middle of cleaning those little river shrimp....what a time consuming task! Since they were caught in the river, which isn't exactly the cleanest environment in the world, I have to remove both the top AND bottom vein. Otherwise I won't be able to eat them.

So, no soup on my menu plan for today, that's for sure.

But, Imelda, your soup looks super tasty. Maybe you could pass a bowl this way and then he'll get his fill for a couple days....

Tonight I'll make some fried shrimp.

Tomorrow I'll use the smaller shrimps in some jambalaya. When I was in Ohio I picked up some of my favorite canned diced tomatoes - Hot Red Gold brand. My luggage was extra heavy but at least I have 3 cans which translates into three meals of jambalaya!

Everyones meals look great. I decided to wake up the sourdough starter that had been sleeping in the back of the refrigerator for sevearl months and make pizza dough with it. I made two pizzas. Here is one of them.

Stashing the cans of tomatoes in the luggage, reminds me of Lucy Ricardo on the train with the tube of cheese, and she had it wrapped in a baby blanket! OMG that one was so funny.

When Dad was In the Navy, they sent him for training in Bainebridge, Rhode Island. Mom was allowed to be with him and she was on the bus with a huge salami in a shopping bag. OMG she said it smelled so good!
(( BTW....that's where I was started )) ..... Guess they had one heck of a celebration with that salami and whatever else went with it!!!

I had a Hot Pastrami for supper...
Tina bought (another) chicken from Sams Club, and had that and mashed taters and stove top stuffing. I had some stove top on the side. Tina bought some strawberry cookies, but I had my Boston Cream doughnut.
Gabe woke up at 7:00 PM and just had breakfast. He just didn't want to get up today.
Naturally he blamed us for not waking him up..... BTW we did, and he went back under the covers.  It Must Be Nice!!

Did anyone see my pumpkin I carved?
Tonight was BLT and avocado sandwiches. Roomie had mussels and some other seafood in a saffron garlic sauce. Dessert will be left-over Halloween candy.
