Dark gray on the top even tho it looks black. I opened the oven door & it is BLUE inside..

    Doubt I will use the convection But ya never know..

ya I saw that after the fact . Heck I am only cooking for me (for the most part) Took away from the pan drawer too.

3 shelves/racks so cookie baking will be easy.lol.

but you don't make cookies....

ah, but just think of all the hunk 'o meat you'll be able to stuff in that ginormous cavern of an oven come cool weather.....

Have a question.Seems I can get this range without convection.$150. cheaper but ... Is it worth it to have that? Some folks seem to love it.

I have seen food pics by 'someone' who does use it & all her baked food looks burned.

I am going to go back to Lowes to buy it but was wondering what ya'lls take is on convection..

I like convection. I've had it for over 20 years so I'm used to it. I really only use it when baking cookies, etc. Also I love the convection roast feature since it browns nicely while it roasts meat. However, it can easily burn.

If photos of cookies look burned, they didn't adjust the times they baked stuff. There is a learning curve with baking. You turn down the temp 25 degrees, and sometimes things bake quicker...sometimes not.

I'm surprised you are getting a self cleaning oven since we all know how much you hate them.

I know right lol. It comes with so I have to take it.Seems it has a easy clean thing.I may try it & see what it does. I don't have any birds to kill with the fumes..

I am going to look at both of them, the burners are set up diff too.I also lose lots of drawer space for pots.That is not so good either . I will have to rearrange everything..  

If you can afford it, I'd say give it a try. I've not had a convection oven so I don't have an honest opinion. DD has one convection and one standard electric oven. She uses the convection for her holiday baking when she's got a lot to bake at one time (the multiple cookie sheet baking evenly) and when she roasts a standing rib roast for Christmas.

The rest of the time she uses the non-convection oven.

But I don't know if it's because the convection is at a low level in her kitchen and the standard oven is at a more comfortable height.....

The best thing my EX did was drop dead.   Last year. He was filthy rich. My kids really made out great. Those 4 Grands boys got their collage paid for.

EX was a royal huge PIA.

Anyway,, I got widows benefits. Three times more then what I was getting.

So I can afford things I would not have thought of buying before. I am still very frugal tho lol.

Next up will be a new sofa..This one is 11 years old & I hated it from the first day it came in the house.( Moms)..Thing is, not one thing wrong with it.Like my Explorer, that thing just keeps on & on & on.Best auto I ever had.Sure would like a new one tho..
