Though we rarely buy them, I like those Pepperidge Farm White Chocolate and Macadamia Nut cookies. We made homemade vanilla ice cream once and put it in several large plastic containers (from the large plastic Daisy Sour Cream) with different chopped up cookies in each container prior to freezing it. We marked the containers, too, so we could tell which was which cookie mix. After about an hour, I took them all out of the freezer and stirred them up again so the cookies were well distributed. One of the ones that we liked the best was with the above-named cookie! Yum.
The ice cream tasted so much better if you let the ice cream harden with the cookies in it, instead of just eating it right out of the ice cream maker with the cookies then mixed in.
Since I'm speaking of ice cream, I want to make some pistachio ice cream. I like crunchy but Brian would prefer it smooth so if anyone has a recipe they've tried, please give me a holler!
