Martha made soups. This is the first time I have ever seen a recipe or how to for Minestrone that I make.
I got the recipe from My all time fav cookbook.
Dog eared, corners folded over.sticky notes all over it.
Silver Palate  Good Times. Julee Rosso/Sheila Lukins.( I do have all 3)

The recipe is almost the same.I use Italian sausage. Not panchetta.I do not use black kale.

I use cheese tortellini.Plus grated Fontina. She just used grated parm on top.

so good.I have made it since 1989.

Loved The Silver Palate until I got "The New Basics," which I believe is my favorite cookbook ever. Just love the style, with the little sidebars all over the cookbook. Great recipes, too.
