1 New skillets.... on Fri Dec 20, 2013 3:28 pm

I've been wanting to pick up a new 8" omelette pan, the size I really like to cook my over-easy eggs in. I left both the Silverstone ones I had back in Ohio for DD as she uses them a lot, too. So today I decided it was a good day to check out the holiday sales at Kohl's. It was especially good since I remembered I had a $15 "Kohl's Cash" certificate from a few weeks ago in my wallet and I had been emailed a $10 Kohl's gift card as an advertisement for the "grand remodeling" of my Kohl's store back in Ohio....I'll let them have my email address to send me coupons ~ free money over the internet is better than a stick in the eye any day of the week!

And what's nice about Kohl's is they will honor the coupons no matter what the expiration date might be.

So I went looking around the cookware aisles....hmmmm, no specials on the little Silverstone skillets, the singles were OK, but not on sale and, quite honestly, way overpriced to my way of thinking. Then I saw a Farberware triple pack....8", 10" & 11" nonstick skillets w/metal handles and able to be put into a 500° oven. I know the nonstick doesn't last forever, but good enough for me to use. When they start to get scratched up I toss 'em and buy another new one.

So, the original price was $39.99, on sale for $24.99....$15 Kohl's Cash & $10 Kohl's Gift Card = 3 FREE SKILLETS for Beth !!!

The check out clerk just smiled at me and said, "Merry Christmas from Kohl's!"

and I said, "Thank you, and the same to you!" as I grinned from ear to ear. Boy, I just love free!

Yeah, I'm getting better at remembering to use those store coupons all the time. I got a bunch of 50% off any regular priced item or 25% off the entire purchase for JoAnn Fabrics in my email. I had wanted to get a couple dozen of those little battery operated tea lights. Well, they were out of them at JoAnn Fabrics so we went over to Michael's Crafts....and they had the ones I wanted, 12/pack for $14. I got the 2 dozen I wanted and went to check out. I happened to ask the clerk if they honored competitor coupons, doesn't hurt to ask....and, yes they do ~ only catch is they will only accept one per order. So, I bought one pack at 50% off and Lyn bought the other pack....2 for 1 ~ gotta love it!
