OMG... I remember The old TV had one knob from 1 to 14
As you turned it, it would make a Thunk Thunk sound. We would only get channel 2 thru 13.
Then we moved here to NW New Jersey, and being in the valley surrounded by mountain all around, we got skipped on the signal.
The first thing to do for Tina...was get the TV set up. N O T H I N G !!!!!! We got one channel fron Philladelphia that somehow was powerful enough I guess to shoot up the Delaware River somehow.
Tina was in a Panic x 100. I called my buddy who lived on the other street, and he just laughed.
He said, There is no TV and you have to hook up to cable.
Cable??? We said. "What the heck is that?" .... We got hold of them, and we had them hook up from the street the wire that was unscrewed when the last people left.
Wow@ 17.99 a month...we had TV.
The clicker box was with a cord that was only 25 feet long so we had to route the trip cord and cover some of it with throw rugs. It had push buttons.."click...click...click and sometimes the button stuck.
What a crude clicker that was.
Now we pay like 89.00 a month..JUST FOR TV. Not counting the internet, and phone service.
Usually the month bill is around 179.00 for the triple play. LOL
A funny thing. I needed a 9V battery to replace on the outside lights timer. NONE!
Had to rob one from my non contact Infra-red thermometer gun.
I told Tina we need D's C'c, and 9V batteries. She gets them when she sees them on sale at CVS or the Dome Hepo, as I call it.
