Mr. Amazing (Dane) left our house in Ohio yesterday afternoon at 2:00 pm and drove straight through, arriving just minutes before 6:00 am. I hate that he won't stop for the night but he's a big boy and doesn't listen to MY wishes. But, he's here safe and sound and will soon be taking a nap, I'm sure. Wouldn't you just know it, today in The Villages is "cold" ~ at least when he got here, although he claims 33° in the driveway here is not nearly as cold as in Ohio. I just think his heart was warmed at just the sight of me.....(hahahaha, yeah, right)

The trip is about 1,050 miles, more or less, according to MapQuest and I tried to calculate where he was at any given time last night. He didn't think to call me (and did not hear the phone ringing when I called at 9 pm in hopes of finding if he was OK) so when I called again at 1:30 am he must have heard his phone and that's when I found out he was only about 4 1/2 hours north of here. Of course, he never thought to turn on the car Bluetooth thingy I bought for him so he could have "hands free" telephone conversations and I have the ringer set to be really loud. He couldn't understand why I was calling and not sleeping....Dummy.

Oh, well, at least now I can finally relax and probably take a nap this afternoon after I get my pies made and vegetables prepped for our Thanksgiving dinner we'll be cooking tomorrow. I hope everyone who's cooking and eating their holiday meal today has a wonderful time.
