well my son has one ,& he sent me one last month.I thought,Oh great I do not need this.lol another thing to find a place to park it.Then I saw Martha St using the same one to make marinara sauce.Cranberry applesauce 3267860543 

Golly Gee I said.lol went out & bought a bag of plum tomatoes.That thing is great.With the apples ,I just cooked them down some ,threw them in,,man the seeds & skins stayed right in the thing.Easy.

I mashed up butternut squash.altho that was already soft.Have not done tators yet.so I can see this being a fun item to use.

I love, love, LOVE my OXO food mill. They're pricey-$40 or so, but with a 20% off Bed Bath & Beyond coupon, not so terrible. And the only complaint I have is it is difficult to put back into the original box. I like when the box is heavy enough and large enough to actually store the item in. Stays neater on my storage shelf. But that's anal me.

I made a ton of marinara sauce last year to stick in the freezer.
