tube pan made.

what happens when you get up at 4am.Have a small piece then call DD to pick up the rest.

4 apples..peeled,cored,sliced.
cream the next stuff.
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
3 cups flour
4 eggs
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup apple juice
cinnamon and sugar
layer in greased & floured tube pan.
batter,apples,cinn &sugar till all are used .

bake 1 hr plus maybe 15/20 minutes depends on your oven.

cool 10 minutes then turn out. Then wait wait wait till you have a headache waiting. And you have eyed the cake for 1 hr.You have been walking back in the kitchen 12 times to look at it..

oh the heck with it dig in

I like apple cake. I often times have difficulty keeping the apple from not all ending up shifting to the bottom of the pan and then ending up, duh....with soggy bottom apple cake.

But YOURS looks like the apple is distributed nicely.

I picked up some Gingergold apples - on sale about 50% less than most ~ unfortunately, I had forgotten how soft they are. Don't know what to do with them, even too soft for a good applesauce I'm afraid. So far I've just been eating them out of the refrigerator for a snack.....I'm glad I only got a half dozen.
