On a wood chopping board?

Not that it matters, but my large wood one isn't heavy -- but it's only about 1/2-inch thick....bethk wrote:I guess I'm just too cheap to spend money on something that's too heavy for me to drag around the kitchen.
Didn't Dillweed suggest a company where everything was handmade from wood? Cutting boards, spoons, utensils etc. He may be rude, but it seems like the stuff was pretty good. I just noticed you said you saw one on W/S for $90 and I was going to suggest looking there and pay up to $100. I got some nice wooden utensils there and they were pricey but I use them almost exclusively now, they are so efficient for mixing things that I barely use my whisks any more.Barbara101 wrote:sorry not me, I hate those plastic ones.I have 2 ,one large & one medium size. I hate them both. They don't stay put ,they slide all over the place. The knife slides on it. The item I am cutting slides.
I like the solid whack of the wood.I have 2 that are way to big,not heavy.Another medium size that has rubber feet, loved it loved it.It has that juice tray on it. That thing is solid hard wood of some sort ,the only thing is,it has separated just a very little & the seams get dirty.I bleach it but have to go in knife to really clean it good. So I don't use it that much anymore. Darch (who BTW I invited here 2 times:x )said to fill the bottom with some sort of glue???
I have another wood one solid hard wood. Both of those wood boards are from 1980's lol.they both are great. I am JUst wanting another heavy duty wood board with rubber feet. They are easy to pick up & move. I have bought so many $20 boards & they are not worth it.Some kind of cheapo wood.I saw a $90 board at W&S. Man that thing was nice.I thought oh ghezz $90????
What prompted this question, Miss Moderator who we missed
When I posted about the Yarnell Hill fire that killed the 19 firefighters, he said it was their fault and they were incompetent. I DID lay into him on that. I was so pissed!Barbara101 wrote:Dillweed so happy I don't have to put up with him.\
