since I got my cable & wifi back on .I have the best channel. PBS & Create.
Yesterday I watched so much good stuff. 

Jaque Pepin ,,  I like him but so hard to understand him.So many great cooking programs, I am in heaven..

then with the wifi ,it has stayed on yeah....Still do not like this laptop one bit..Enjoying my new kindle.It is not better then a book but for free reads it will do.

I love my wifi - Lyn and Dane hooked it up for me. I'm clueless. As far as I'm concerned, it's just "magic" and all I have to do is accept it and thank them!

And even if you do decide to "buy" a book, most aren't too expensive for the Kindle.

Our local library had a program to "borrow" just about any book there by hooking into their wifi system. I don't remember how it worked, but take your Kindle next time you go to the library and check to see if yours has the same sort of program....

I guess I'm old fashioned but I like holding a book in my hand. And I like keeping the books I read -- I have two huge bookcases that are both packed with books.

I'm the same way with a newspaper -- love, love, love the paper but am not too keen on reading the whole thing online. Ours now prints (since last October) on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday which we get delivered. They recently started a small tabloid paper on the other days that you have to buy out a machine -- what a rip. But I still subscribe 'cause I'm a newspaper junkie!

I kick & scream going into the techie world. I thought I was the last person on earth to get into computer.To get rid of a landline.Got a laptop (that I do NOT like)I have no use for a smartphone,Ipad,tablet,Iphone.
This kindle I got was on super sale.Now that I have been reading on the thing,I find I should have got the paperwhite.My LR lamp is not good.PW is not that $$ either.$119.
OH I love real books too.
I only buy the sunday paper now & then.My puppers are very paper trained lol so i save the papers.

We use a couple of sheets now and then but just to start the charcoal chimney!

Laughed as we both have cell phones but they're jitterbugs (great AND cheap!), no smart phones, no Ipads, no IpadMinis, and only a desktop computer. And we still have a landline, which I won't give up unless it becomes terribly cost prohibitive. AND we don't have voicemail (or an answering machine) on our landline or on our cell phones. But we do have caller I.D.   You have to call us back if we don't answer so the onus is on the caller and not on us!
