UNCLE JIMMY

UNCLE JIMMY

After 55 we joined AARP.
I never knew why? Tina said for discounts! She runs the discount department so I spend 16.00 every year to stay a member.

Last three years I took advantage of the AARP Roadside assistance by Allstate.I don't know what happened, but the Towing road assistance cancelled because I missed the E-mail to re instate it.
Last week I did re instate for 71.00 and with included another family member.
Tina is the primary, and My Daughter is the member of the family.
Towing up to 100 miles is what attracted me. The AAA site will only tow up to 3 miles. That's a crock of xxxx.

Well...Just yesterday the cards and member numbers came, and I gave DD her card.
JUST IN TIME..... Tonight she called...Dad Thank You for the Towing Card, I'm on the hook and headed home from the Rockaway Mall. 20 miles.
The pulley broke off, and the accessories belt fell off.

The tow = Free
The idler pulley (part) 19.68 in stock at Advance Auto Parts in town.
Her BF will put it on....a 10 minute job.

She was so happy. She is even twice as happy, because she said there was a strange grinding sound the truck was making, and had to get it checked.
I told her to get it diagnosed, and I would do the work whatever.
Well....She found out what the noise was...... tonight. hahahahahahaha

Insurance...a lifetime of payments and only once makes it all worth it.

Well, that, and YOUR peace of mind, Jimmy, knowing they wouldn't get stranded in th middle of nowhere just because they were short on cash.

Good job.

Short On Cash?? What's that??
These kids travel with pennies in the ashtray.

So now the truck sits at the house, and Lenny took 5 minutes to change the pulley, but there is another one that is bad, but it is the bushing that costs only 1.98 but the auto parts store doesn't stock it!!!
Tomorrow it is due in....so all that they can do, is wait and see.
Thank God she has Monday's off.

Congrats on your good timing, Jimmy!

My favorite AAA story, since you mentioned them, was told to me by a higher up that worked at the one in N.O.  You know how if you have a AAA card, you can use it for any car you're a passenger in?  Well, AAA found out that an entire block was sharing one card.  The towing service that responded told AAA that the woman went out to the middle of the street and screamed, "Who's got the AAA card?  The tow truck is here and I need the card!"

That's correct... so funny!

Tina's friend broke down (not far) and she called Tina if I was available just to advise. Well...I was at work so, Tina drove there where she was stuck with the AAA card, and she had her friends car towed to the place they frequent for repairs. FREE!! hahahahaha

I tried the AARP premier plan Towing and roadside assistance a couple years ago.'
100 miles towing. aand all the other stuff like flat tire change and etc.
For 71.00 it is great assurance. I put my daughter on as a second family member covered.

Well worth the girls are somewhat secure if they have a flat tire or whatever.
